2 Rookie Questions ..

So i am exploring T7.
Being a total T Rookie.

2 questions right away show up, being unable to find the answers:

1) How do you set a clip's tempo ?
For instance, i import a whole song, from which i know the tempo. (bpm).
Is there some clip edit field where i can just type in that bpm ?
Please don't tell me there isn't ..

2) Does T7 support "tabbing" through an audio clip's transients ?
Please don't sell me a NO

Otherwise, quite impressed with T7 already.

I don't think that would really work, since multiple clips can exist in the same time (stacked vertically). Tempo is a property of the edit. You can set it as a property for the entire edit at the bottom right or you can use the tempo track to add points where tempo changes.

As in 'Root Tempo' under Loop properties?

About "tab through transients" :
Means: in an audio clip, you can move the play cursor (with keycommands) to next transient or previous transient.
Many DAW's have this functionality.
Maybe i want too much (i currently use Reaper as my main DAW).

When you add/preview a loop in the loop browser, by default if Tracktion is able to detect the tempo it will automatically adjust the loop's tempo to match the current track tempo. You can adjust the tempo of any loop once added by holding down the alt/option key and dragging the end arrow: you can change the stretch method in the 'audio clip' area located in the bottom middle section of the interface.

To specifically see/adjust the root tempo of a loop, select it, then click on the "loop properties" tab located in the audio clip section. There you'll find time signature, root tempo, beat points, etc.
