Not seeing much action on the AU support on iOS. In times past I would try to talk to developers to support new platforms. I think this time around I'm just going to take a few months and build something useful for the community.

If anyone is interested in something similar feel free to reply with feature requests or useful concepts.

Are you talking about a soundfont player like bs16 or a soundfont maker and player?

The latter would be really cool :)

An instrument editor would be cool, but I'm talking about a player :D

There's a soundfont player called Lyra that's bundled with Auria Pro. It's a bit much to purchase Auria just for Lyra, but thought I'd throw it out there.

Is Lyra an AU instrument, in that it would work directly in Cubasis, GarageBand etc?

Post

Nope, (well not at the moment anyway) Lyra only works in Auria pro

I would prefer a SFZ player. It wouldn't even have to support more than a basic subset of opcodes. Then, we could create the samples and upload a plain text file to the device to create our own sample patches. It would be really cool, and should be easy to build, since everything is open in the format. :-)
