Not seeing much action on the AU support on iOS. In times past I would try to talk to developers to support new platforms. I think this time around I'm just going to take a few months and build something useful for the community.
If anyone is interested in something similar feel free to reply with feature requests or useful concepts.

Are you talking about a soundfont player like bs16 or a soundfont maker and player?
The latter would be really cool

An instrument editor would be cool, but I'm talking about a player

Is Lyra an AU instrument, in that it would work directly in Cubasis, GarageBand etc?

Nope, (well not at the moment anyway) Lyra only works in Auria pro

I would prefer a SFZ player. It wouldn't even have to support more than a basic subset of opcodes. Then, we could create the samples and upload a plain text file to the device to create our own sample patches. It would be really cool, and should be easy to build, since everything is open in the format.
