In MReberb we can choose from (i think) 4 types. I honestly can'thear any difference. Does anyone else know the difference between them? Do i need to change certain parameters to make the difference more prominent?

Not really, you mean the modes, right? I quite think we could remove the option
. Perhaps replace it with something else..

Honestly, I think MReverb is one of the weakest melda plugins and is one of the few from the total bundle that I've had to find an alternative for. I just can't make it not sound nasty, especially in the high frequencies, and I can never get the sense of density/diffusion that I'm looking for. Even the ancient and free Ambience vst sounds better: http://magnus.smartelectronix.com/ That said, I primarily use MConvolution, which is awesome and incredibly flexible, so it's ultimately not a big deal for me.
Sorry, not helping with this thread, it's just been on my mind for a while.

I think it sounds more harmonious.jmg8 wrote:Interesting, I can't hear anything. Can you describe how the sound different?
I think it is a reverb for placement in the close stereo field. That's where I use it... once again for percussion.vectorwarrior wrote:Honestly, I think MReverb is one of the weakest melda plugins and is one of the few from the total bundle that I've had to find an alternative for.

Yeah, makes sense. I usually use convolution for 'realism' and algorthms for dense 'effect' type reverbs where i want to create a sense of spooky atmosphere or extend out a sound.pone wrote:jmg8 wrote:I think it is a reverb for placement in the close stereo field. Hopefully there will be a new spatial positioning plugin soon, that will increase Melda's reverb cred.

Hehe no peak to the future
. But yes, something will happen eventually
.
I'd like to create some other reverb in the future as well, but more interesting things are on the plate now (and probably will be for some time
). MReverb is problematic - some people say it's the best ever, some say it's the worst
. Personal stuff indeed!

Is this a hint? MPlateReverb? That new Abbey Road plate verb from Waves is awesome, it would be a really hard act to follow.MeldaProduction wrote:I'd like to create some other reverb in the future as well, but more interesting things are on the plate now

Please no more plates.
To me it seems that there are quite enough out there. I'd really like to see something more for "real environments". Building real room acoustics and stuff. Such things are either just IR-tech, too heavy for the CPU or just sound not good enough regarding the sound (my opinion / experience).
