Feature Request MLimiter: Multiparameters or temp gain

Hi,

I would like to suggest a "link mode" for MLimiter's input/output (could be just a little button in between), just like it is seen in common limiters like L1 etc., so the output volume stays constant. IMO quite more nice way to use on a bus or track, preserving original volume. So that the output is decreased by the same amount the input is increased, automatically, etc.

A link mode, in which you still can adjust input and output, and the offset will stay then also in the link mode.

Same feature would be maybe useful for MWaveShaper, too!

Thanks for considering.

Something like this?

No, it has nothing to do with "temporary", it's permanent :) Also pleeease no auto-gain-whatever. Just what usually in limiters is called "link", a manual helper tool for channels that do not reach 0dB.

If a gain is applied on the input but then removed on the output, then you could call it temporary.
Did you read the text above? It is exactly what your asking for, it links the input and output in opposite directions.
You could also use a multiparameter to do it (if MLimiter has them)

Ok.

Well, you can already do that using gain and output gain via a multiparameter ;).

Thanks for info! I cannot find those multi parameters in MLimiter. Is it available there?

Post

Please note:
MLimiter is a saturation /distortion plug-in not a limiter (the name is lost in history)
MLimiter performs smooth saturation in a definitive tube-like way improving the clarity of the resulting sound. Its excellent sound quality makes it flexible enough to double as a distortion module for guitars and other instruments.
But MLimiter does not have Temporary Gain or Multiparameters. What you need is the Multiband Limiter

Ok, then I request Multiparameters for MLimiter.

That won't happen as it's free. Only the multiband versions have mods and MPs.

I see, ok, let me rephrase that:

I request a temp gain for MLimiter :)

Post

Well, I'm afraid that's unlikely to happen, but who knows... MMSaturation would be the solution though, it has multiparameters.
