I was thinking about upgrading my T5 licence to the new T7 but ran into this problem with the demo version.

I use Rob Rapen Punch and Predator vsts a lot and they don't seem to play well with Tracktion (tested T5 and T7, both the same) on my PC.

I make 2 tracks, one punch and one predator, get beats playing on punch and something playing on predator and they don't play in sync half the time. If you keep flicking back to the start sometimes it all syncs up and also if you loop a section it will play properly after the first loop.

It could be my system specs but they work fine with Reaper and Renoise etc.

Win 7 64 bit
4GB RAM
Intel Core2 Quad 2.66Ghz
Tracktion 5 and 7

Is there something I can try to fix this?

It's a damn shame! I've tried everything I can think of over the last couple of days, updated everything and made sure all chipset drivers etc are all installed and all that (even though it was a fresh install of win7 about a week ago). I even tried installing the 32bit version and 32bit vsts and it still happened. I tried ASIO/directsound/windows audio, all sorts of buffer sizes, looked through everything in the options and can't find anything that helps.

I'm guessing no one else is having similar problems otherwise I would see it all over this board. I'm going to have to give up on it I'm afraid. It's either something wonky in my PC on just the Papen synths don't like Tracktion or vice versa.

I did test on my Mac and could not replicate - we can contact Rob and get an NFR for our Windows programmer too and try to recreate - would be useful to get one of your test edits - ping our support team and they will direct you
