This is a really cool program! I have been able to map the outputs to multiple instrument tracks, routed to MIDI channels on a multi-timbral plugin...while also mapping the built-in transport controls (in S1). This allows me to minimize the DAW and control output select/recording right from the program (all tracks record-enabled in the DAW). If you have a tiny 25-note USB keyboard like I do, AutoTheory makes it much more useful (in my opinion).

It's not a plugin...more like a MIDI bridge...and transport rides on "AutoTheory1". If I set MIDI record to overwrite on my DAW and loop a few bars, I can experiment over and over without switching from AutoTheory to S1, until it sounds good to me (disclaimer: I do not have any musical theory background at all)...and the final output is recorded as discreet MIDI notes, so I can edit/quantize them right in the DAW if I wanted to (even after closing down AutoTheory!).

As always, JRR came through! I had a question on this program, and Uncle E was all over helping me out. Frankly, this is why I spend my (limited) funds with these guys. Very few care for our community like they do.

JRR rocks and AutoTheory is a great program indeed. Has just been updated.
Also exists as an RE for Reason.

G I had been considering picking up AutoTheory. Your review sold me on it for sure. Thanks! :)

I've been waiting forever for a good deal on Nave and PPG Wave v3.

$75 for each is an absolute steal. :D

Has Sugar Bytes Cyclop ever been lower than the 50% off NI sale? I know they had an easter sale recently but I dont remember the prices. Dont mind waiting for a dealer sale if it can be had for a bit less.

As far as I remember, half off is as low as they go, apart from exceptional deals on Thesys, Artillery or Unique at Musician's Friend, sometimes down to $20.

It has the same price as newer synth Obscurium. Both were half price during Easter and at JRR Shop extra discount was added in basket.

So as I got Obscurium then for less than $44, I think those that bought Cyclop also got the same price for that.

Thank you Numanoid for bringing the Sound Guy Inc sale to my attention. It looks like you can get the Backwards Machine for $3.99 with the coupon. I've been very curious about this plugin and now it's a total no-brainer.

I missed that it is 64 bit also, so for 4 bucks it is worthwhile deal for sure, will need to look at it again.

As the code for the sale is APRIL2016, I guess that means it will last until next Saturday...

We had it on sale for $44 last month and in December. I checked our previous sales and $44 is the lowest price it's been in the last 2 years.

Others have answered this, but I am not sure I have seen the Xils synths available for a lower price. I bought Xils 4 from JRRShop a while ago when it was on sale and it was a little over $100 (with the extra discount in cart). I am thinking about picking up PKII this sale. The only Waldorf synth that is on sale and that I don't own is Nave... not sure about that one TBH.

Thanks for this.

I had just found a pitch shifting Reaktor ensemble, but the latency was pretty bad. SFX Machine Pro gave me exactly what I was looking for! :tu:
