Theo, I hope that you are in no way ever banned from this forum. I have never had any problems with you in the past, which is why this whole thing took me by surprise.TheoM wrote:I'm really glad i pressed "display this post" so I was able to see we made peace.
If it wasn't you who reported, that just confirms my suspicions over the last year that someone here is gunning very hard to get me banned, almost desperately.
I sometimes check if my posts have been reported and the most ridiculous posts have been. Like in this case my very first post which used no abuse or profanity. Just the two line one that started this mess. Nothing in there even remotely deserves reporting as there's nothing to report.
(Way to check is to click on report button which will tell you if a post has already been reported.).
As for you Steven I accept your apology and will in return also give you mine, sincerely.
I'm going to go through the topic and delete all of this nonsense. To save mods time and frustration, feel free to also delete yours. I already deleted my previous post and will go back and do them all.
I know it must frustrate the mods so much to deal with stuff like this, and I guess eventually, those reporting me (I have a fair idea who) will win out as the mods will ban me just to make life easier. So I'm going to do what I did in Jan 2014 once again, and broke last year, and spend the rest of this entire year being 100% non confrontational no matter what, and therefore in the process that will hopefully show the mods I'm being stalked by someone who is desperate to get me banned, but I'll
Give no mod any reason to be upset with me at all.
Starting right now.
To others, sorry this got out of hand. I do know there are many very decent folk here and I'll concentrate on those rather than arguing, again, no matter what
Peace to all.
I will go back through all my posts and clean them up as well. Going to take some time but I'll do it.
I too apologize to everybody for this nonsense.
Now can we PLEASE just talk about this synth?

So, after these, err, distractions, did anyone find out if Icarus will be able to convert image/png files to wavetables, or if currently not if this is being considered to be added via an update?

Do any WT synths convert image files to WTs? I'm not aware of one that does.Sim.Sky wrote:So, after these, err, distractions, did anyone find out if Icarus will be able to convert image/png files to wavetables, or if currently not if this is being considered to be added via an update?

Really? Wow! I have them both and have never tried doing that. I just create my own WTs either in Audio Term or inside Serum and that's about it. Never tried images.Sim.Sky wrote:Serum and Falconwagtunes wrote:Do any WT synths convert image files to WTs? And Harmor, I think.

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Thanks for the suggestion (honestly), but I already know that plugin and find it a bit clumsy/not so practical. I think when a 'common' synth provides this feature it would make it a lot more accessible and useful in the end.JoeCat wrote:http://photosounder.com/

Icarus includes multiple ways to create custom wavetables but not from images/png files yet. AFAIK this is also not planned at the moment.Sim.Sky wrote:So, after these, err, distractions, did anyone find out if Icarus will be able to convert image/png files to wavetables, or if currently not if this is being considered to be added via an update?
FWIW If you created a WAV wavetable fiie in Serum you should be also able to laod this to Icarus. The Serum format should be directly compatible in Icarus (no Resynthesis needed).
I already mentioned this in the past but i'll post it again:
A cool feature to create new wavetables in Icarus is to render the combination of the current wavetable (in the currently selected Osc) and one of the "Morph modes" (e.g. FM, Phase Distortion, Sync and many more) to a new table. This will the apply e.g. FM with the current setting of teh Morph knob (which is this case is the FM amount) to a new table and teh resets teh Morph mode to default. You could then use another Morph mode and rende it again.

Yeah, Serum just got this feature in a new update a few days ago, and Falcon could already do it from the outset (at least that's what I read in Computer Music Magazine)wagtunes wrote:Really? Wow! Thanks for the information! The morph modes definitely sound cool, although not really the same. But well, that image to wt thing is probably not a 'killer' feature, and not every synth must provide the same possibilities I guessIngonator wrote:Icarus includes multiple ways to create custom wavetables but not from images/png files yet. Summer or May release?
If the software is released a bit earlier will more bugs be found from the users and so help to improve the software faster?
2 sine waves out of phase, do they sound diiferent if they are in phase?
