Question: How do I get more than 2 USB outputs on Tracktion and Behringer XR18?

In a nutshell, all I can get from Tracktion 5 (32 bit) out to my Behringer XR18 is a stereo mix through any two USB outputs I choose. I cannot get all 18 USB outputs separately. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks in advance.
Hoping someone can help me out with this. I recently got Tracktion 5 with my Behringer XR18 mixer. I want to be able to output my multi channel recording from Tracktion to the mixer via USB. When I look at the setup tab in Tracktion, all 18 of the available USB outputs are there. However Tracktion forces me to choose a single pair of them (they are all showing as stereo pairs) for the "Default wave output". This dumps all 18 tracks out to the selected USB output pair (in my case "Output 1 + 2") to those two tracks. No matter how I configure the USB returns page on the XR18, I cannot figure out how to get 18 separate USB channels (or even 9 stereo) to come out of Tracktion. It always returns all my tracks on only the two "default wave output" channels even though I have the Returns page on the Behringer XR18 configured to a different USB channel for each input. Again, I can see all 18 USB channels in the Tracktion output but I am forced to choose only two for output.
I don't know if this has anything to do with it but when I choose the properties from the Windows 7 operating system page for my Behringer XR18 driver, the "Advanced" tab offers a "44100 Hz 24 bit 18 channel" selection, however, if I try to select anything but "44100 16 bit 2 channel" Windows gives me a message that the "device does not support it".

Figured out how to do this. First I turned off the stereo pairing in the Settings tab. I then highlighted each track and used the output property to send each successive track to a different output. This allows me to feed the tracks back through the XR18 and use the XR18's channel processing on each track. The raw unprocessed track back from Tracktion gets processed by the XR18 and provides me the ability offer each musician a different monitor mix in their headphones for monitoring as they add additional tracks. Great for layering up a recording in multiple sessions. It is also really valuable for feeding the XR18 a band mix that has a separate voice or instrument on each channel which allows me to do EQ and effects tweaking on the XR18 without having to try to do it while the band is playing.

You might want to consider setting up a song template so that you don't have to do all that the next time you start a new project.
[W10-64, T5/6/7/W8/9/10/11/12/13, 32(to W8)&64 all, Spike],[W7-32, T5/6/7/W8, Gina16] everything underused.

Hey guy's I'm new to tracktion. I'm using an XR18 air and T-5 also. I'm having the same problem. I can't get Tracktion to send back all 16 individual tracks to the XR. I have turned off the pairing of channels. When I bring up the settings window, on the right it shows the input's and outputs. The far column on the outputs will only let me set one output as the default then everything comes back through that channel. I know I'm missing something I hope someone can help me. Thanks

You wiil have to load a project and set the outputs on the edit page. Each track can choose its own output in each track (properties tab). All tracks are set to the default output in new edits once you make your setup set save it as a template in the save tab. You can only use templates in (new projects) not (new edits) just remember that and when you make a new project you will see the template tab to the bottom right of the new project tab.Prsiler wrote:Hey guy's I'm new to tracktion. Just a shoutout of Thank You to 'HOTraction' and 'lay it prodctions' for the post and solutions. I've been banging my head trying to figure out the output mapping. You provided my that one piece of information I needed.
