...what am I missing...here's the test setup I am using...

-signal generator set to stereo pink noise -->
-MMBD/steroe set to a single band, no gate, no proc.1, band panorama centered
-"meters/subsystems" displayed, "bands" displayed

...result = band one meter shows left level only...if I move the band:panorama controller to the right at 50%, the meter shows balanced l/r, 100% right gives a meter reading of all "right" no "left"...HOWEVER...the channel meters read signal on both left and right, and the audio heard is consistent with the meters....????.... :help: .../s~

Just tried it. It worked fine for me. Can't work out what is going on there.
What does the global input meter read?

I haven't tried with your copy/pasted text content, but I did try following your repro steps and I couldn't see an issue, same as JMG8. Can you be more clear/specific about exactly what you're seeing and what you're expecting.

Oh, that's input and output that is showing only in one channel, I thought it was just your bands meter.
Ok well a few things to double check:
What is generating the pink noise? If you put a meter before the MMBD does it show as active in both left and right?
In MMBD at the top left, is it in L+R mode?

The dry/wet control isn't set to 100%. Is that it?

Post

Ok here's my guess:
Test osc is outputting in mono.
MMBD doesn't look to be doing anything wrong, as it's input is the same the output. (plus it works fine for me)
The channel that you have it placed on is forcing stereo out, therefore duplicating the signal in left and right.

If the pink noise was stereo then because of it's random nature, the chances that you managed to screen shot at exactly the moment when left and right energy were equal is unlikely. Look at my meter in my screenshot, the levels are different, but on your meter (daw) they are exactly the same.

Therefore it must be the test osc outputting in mono, or only left channel.

...:dog:...there is no possible, plausible deniability on this one for me ...I never noticed that MMBD was set to "M+S" :scared:...I checked and confirmed everything else in the signal chain several times...:clown:...:dog:...thank you all for your time and trouble to figure this out...:D.../s~
