MTuner react more on the vibrato than GTune.
I think MTuner is fine.
The problem is this one way vibrato synth

...perhaps it might be useful to make the "speed setting" a variable parameter that could be set depending on the users intention/situation...ie when tuning a guitar the very high resolution speed make the display rather jumpy.../s~
