MUX 6 And MUX 7 Compatibility Question

I actually looked to see if anybody had actually already asked this but can't find anything. So here goes.
I have MUX 6 and have just released a library for it.
What I want to do is upgrade to MUX 7 and make additional presets and add them as a separate library that people can download IF they have MUX 7.
My question is this.
If I upgrade to MUX 7, will my MUX 6 patches still work or are these essentially two different products, like for example Dune and Dune 2?
If they are not compatible, can you run MUX 6 and MUX 7 at the same time? How does this actually work?
My concern is losing the 150 presets that I did for MUX 6 if I upgrade.
Any clarification on this issue will be greatly appreciate.

I also answered in the other thread,Mux 6 patches working perfectly with M7,they are compatible or rather M7 allows you to load M6 patches but not vice versa,If you want to work with both versions it is better to keep a copy for each version.
I hope can help, but if you want additional details better to wait a response from Jo.

Taifunk's answer is correct: M6 presets load fine in M7, but M7 presets cannot be loaded into M6. I recommend completely going for M7.

Thanks. You guys are absolutely the best. MUX is my dream modular now that you've included audio rate modulation. The upgrade is a no brainer.mutools wrote:Taifunk's answer is correct: M6 presets load fine in M7, but M7 presets cannot be loaded into M6. I recommend completely going for M7.
