That is a great interview.
Thanks for the link.
Urs has great communication skills as well.
Making complex ideas, simple to understand.

I like the English guy from sonic state (not sure if there is more than one person in sonic state). I always get a kick out of hearing Urs speak (in a good way). That was interesting.

Very interesting!

My take-aways:

1.) He's interested in building a software synthesizer with global 'bandwidth' or 'range' - where it will model say: serial #1 or #999 of the emulated hardware within the same software - I like his comment about having all the Curtis chips -

2.) He's very much interested in both hardware feel, and easy integration of the hardware layer with his software - again: great comment about the feel of the knobs of Dave Smith's Prophet 6 - it would be amazing to see a collaboration between himself and Dave Smith, who's also an industrial designer, specializing in hardware synths as opposed to software synths, although DS *did* have a software synthesizer that he was selling for a while, named 'Reality'

Anyway: Urs is an amazing guy - this interview showcases that he's a great communicator (he could easily teach) - I think that we're indeed fortunate that he does what he does, and hangs out here -

+1 There's an idea. Dave Smith builds a controller for a u-he synth. Instabuy.

Nick Batt!

Hell yeah! Dudes a legend!

He's like if KVR was one person only!

But better... ,)

Thanks for posting! I like Urs. I feel honored to have "helped" him pursue his passion in some way. We need more passionate people doing what they're passionate about.
