Specify whether the fact that the picture of FM synthesis? What kind of synthesis can be done in Zebra2? Thank you!

not sure, but I have the feeling we're forgetting to mention somethings when it comes to listing what Zebra is capable of..

Ah, but Zebra is much greater than the sum of its parts!

thanks to this file is at me with a zebra. It does not say what kind of synthesis is used.rockbottom wrote:RTFM

It says its a modular synthesiser. Most modular synthesisers are capable of more than one specific type of synthesis. (In fact most synthesisers are to some extent or another.)atmelcool wrote:thanks to this file is at me with a zebra. It does not say what kind of synthesis is used.rockbottom wrote:RTFM

Since Zebra has oscillators and filters, that immediately makes it subtractive.
You can use multiple oscillators in parallel, so that effectively also makes it additive.
The manual describes the main oscillator as having user-defineable waveforms, in wavesets, so that also means its a wavetable synth.
The manual also describes a second oscillator type which does FM.
It has a comb filter, which is the basis of a lot of physical modelling synthesis.
Just like pdxindy already told you.
Its modular. It does multiple types of synthesis.
An idiot on Set Theory:

Please show how to make a chain of FM modulation? I'm trying to understand this, but I have no knowledge to apply it on a zebra

There was a discussion on what DX7 algos can be recreated in Zebra. Here's a respective thread: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 3&start=30atmelcool wrote:Please show how to make a chain of FM modulation? I'm trying to understand this, but I have no knowledge to apply it on a zebra
There was downloadable example preset further down the thread.
U-He tutorial video about FMO might also help.
