I have made a MUX preset with just a Audio Limiter module, to test the Limiter, but can't have the UI of the module on the front panel, is it possible ?
Also I notice that the limiter don't seem to have a big effect on the sound : can we use it on the master channel ?

Post

If not mistaken is not possible at the moment to have the ui on the front panel
The limiter works very well on the master channel and usually I use these settings.

I've been a slow adopter of the limiter -- I've been using the mda suite. I really should spend some time with both it and the compressor, particularly because they are nice and clean.

True really nice and clean,I'm finding really good and use them also creatively and always get excellent results.

MUX Modular 7.0.35 is available on http://www.mutools.com/mux-downloads.html

Latest changes compared to MUX 7.0.32:
  • When inserting a module into an effect slot in MuSynth, MuDrum, MuSampla and MultiSampla, that module's editor now is immediately opened.
  • MuDrum: Finetuned layout so it fits a 1024 x 768 screen.
  • Sequence Player & Step Sequencer: Fixed a possible hanging note case when switching the player on/off while notes are being received.
  • Sequence Player & Step Sequencer: MIDI controller & pitch bend events are bypassed now.
  • Pure Delay now has an On/Off switch.
  • Fixed an UI problem with the ADSR editor when having pasted another ADSR into it.
If you already have installed the MUX 7.0.32 package or up, then you can apply this quick app patch:

When I edit the front panel of a mux, I can't resize it with the mouse, and this was possible before if I remember well, or maybe, it's possible in Mulab only and not with the Mux VST ?

I have also used the Basic step sequencer preset (Mux 7.0.36), and several times, when I stopped the playback in my DAW, the Step sequencer continued to play, I had to use the on/off button to get it stop...

With the MuX VST hosted in MuLab, I cannot resize the VST window. If I drop an MuX inside the hosted MuX, I can edit the size of the inner MuX by dragging.

Indeed only for MUX integrated, not MUX Vst. But you can resize the MUX Vst front panel via the context menu.

Please be more specific so i can try to repeat that case. Which host? Please save + attach the MUX patch that you're using.

Indeed cause then that window is owned by the host (MuLab in this case, but that doesn't matter, it's 'the host'). That's what makes the difference.

Post

Reaper lets me resize the VST window but MuX VST does not respond. The same happens with Kontakt, so I guess the resize doesn't propagate from host to VST.

However, Kontakt has a resize dragger inside the VST window and the host (Reaper and MuLab) responds to such changes, so resize does propagate from VST to host.

Would it be possible to add a resize dragger to the front panel editor for the top level MuX VST window?

(Editing the properties causes the window to resize, so this isn't a priority as there's a work around but the visual option would be nicer.)

I know that some VSTs indeed use a trick to be able to resize by click-drag from within the VST window. That's a possible solution. I've taken note on the wishlist, but it's not a top prio thing indeed, certainly not for M7.0.
