From the perspective of a "drake" is some sort of dragon, sure. From the perspective of "drake" as a popular rapper with such (that are direct copies of an existing good track), then probably no...
Clearly it is this man - the mighty, adventurous, Sir Francis Drake:

I am related to his cousin John Hawkins - hope everyone accepts the public apology from Andrew Hawkins in 2006 :tu: for John's involvement in the awful slave trade of those times! :dog:

Yet another thing you didn't know about me eh? :hyper:

Ehh... yeah, Sir Francis Drake is definitely less than ideal, too.

But that isn't even Drake tho...

Upon further examination though, the link now says "draake", so I don't get any good luck/signs anymore :c

Too true - not really a good'un! But in those days, everything was different.

My great grandfather Francis Hugo Hawkins actually really served on the HMS Victory I, he was the ships' cook for the officers mess, but a long time after Nelson etc... :-). His brother, William Hawkins, was put on shore duty after being injured during the Opium Wars, and trained gunners using old moored ships in Plymouth harbour. [Notice the names!!]

Now ......... I need to get some decent percussion done ... need kick, hats, crash, snare, tambourine etc ... have approximations, but going to need oodles of work.

I am tempted to make a track for this, as I'd love to get either Hive or Diva. Maybe I will start putting one together this weekend. As I've learned from past OSCs, even if you don't win anything, it is fun and challenging too. :)

Made on Linux (Debian 8 with kx-studio repos) using Ardour 4, 15 instances of Podolski and these external effect plugins:
per Track: Invada Compressor, EQ4Q
FX Busses: Calf Delay, Reverb
Master: Calf Compressor, Limiter, Tape Simulator
I updated my track

added another Podolski instance (so 16 now) to add some more substance to the bass. Some smaller mixing and EQing corrections.

Ok I started my working on my track.

So working on my first submission for quite a while :phones: :hyper: (a year?)! As everyone says - getting kicks and snares - not easy! Got a kick now anyway.....

Now to the point:

Anyone had these problems with Podolski under Reaper Windows 10 64 bit?

1) stuck notes - This may be a midi thing - maybe I'm losing a note off somewhere but it always is the same channel and always the same pitch. Seems to be when I interrupt playback. Seem to recall having this before with reaper....

2) Clicks - I've found if a note finishes exactly when another one starts I can get clicks? To get rid of the clicks I have to shorten the earlier note a smidge...

:help:

RuediRena uploaded a preview onto SoundCloud. So far there are nine or ten instances of little Poldi running in Reaper. FX are mainly a tiny bit of U-He Protoverb and some frequency warping via Cockos ReaEQ.

Enjoy!

I've had the stuck note problem in reaper before, but unfortunately on OSX / Bitwig this month, which doesn't have those issues. Do you have any midi plugins in the chain? Any weird routings that could be sending stray midi notes? (this used to happen to me all the time in reaper since it automatically routes audio & midi!)

I noticed a few issues with clicks... try increasing the release just slightly, choose a mono mode if you can, check your LFO retrigger modes... I had to automate volume to get rid of some clicks here and there in my track, if I recall... :x shortening the notes isn't really too hard of a solution, at least.
