Thank you Peter for the reassurance that Bernie's legacy is in great hands and existing Nomad products will continue to supported and updated. I think some serious updates on Magma would really hammer that home.

I hope to catch the ISP bundle before the sale ends and glad to hear it has been successful.

It's been a while and hope you are well.

For me and many users, Nomad's are stable but I again understand that we need to look into all DAWs in ALL versions with ALL available OS systems...

We have taken over all of Nomad's support as we understand how frustrating it is to be kept on hold.

As mentioned above, we are restructuring the hole project and hope to come up with updates that fixes bugs ASAP.

Feel free to contact us with documented crash logs that will assuredly be transferred to the devs...

Thank you - Peter
Hi Peter.

I just bought Magma and I love it, but it's buggy. I use FL Studio 12 (32-bit mostly). I would love to report stuff to make your Life easier, and Magma hopefully more stable in the future. But where to report it?

Cheers!

I find it really weird that with all the software I own, I don't own a single Nomad Factory plug in... I don't even think I've ever demoed one. Why is that? I guess I should check them out.

 You should. Some great stuff there. I didn't buy or demo anything either Before but with these prices I could not resist. Now I own Magma and all the Blue stuff. I Think I am one of the few that does not have a single Waves plugin :ud:

I have the ISP3 bundle. There are many that I love and use a lot, and many that are in my legacy folder as well that I rarely/never used.

Highlights for me are:

Cosmos
Echoes
Magnetic 1 and 2
Analog Signature Pack (mess around with input/output levels to find the sweet spot).
Analog Mastering Tools (mess around with input/output levels to find the sweet spot).
Blue Tubes Phaser and Chorus
Motown Retro Bundle (EQ's)
The British EQ from the British Bundle

Lots of folks love the Pulsetec EQ. Preferring it over the Waves or IK offerings. I have been meaning to play around with it. Been sitting on that for years. Same for the Ik one that I also own. I always seem to go for the NI Enhanced EQ for the Pultec vibe without giving my other ones a fair shot. Note to self: Have a Pultec evening.

Essential studio suite, Liquid Bundle II, all the Blue tubes Eqs and compressors are in my legacy folder. I just have other options from other companies that I prefer but they are still good.

I also have Magma, which I use occasionally for some of its cool retro/unique effects, but I don't use it to load Vst's and I don't even use its built in modulation options. Haven't really had a chance to dig deeper. So many toys so little time. I tend to use Patcher in FL studio to do that kind of stuff, or MXXX

Hi Peter, so it looks like my message to Nick came through and we're finally getting answers.

As longtime ISP bundle user however, I'm still skeptical. Something... just doesn't fell right. The sudden price slash, the reform of the company, the long radio silence, in my case barely even contact to the support (I handled this through Bernie while he was still alive, and we found/addressed a bug in British NEQ1972). So I'm a bit hesitant on all this. I've seen way too many companies drop of the planet in recent years. Sometimes even without further notice, overnight. Software tuning into Mac ware without further commentary, online shops closing, etc. You invest in something and live in constant fear that your tools stop working some day.

My biggest concern is, that I won't be possible to use well established tools out of the set anymore. I have the British EQ in daily use, the Pultec clone, the Antec, I use ECHOES as alternative delay (also good for guitars), sometimes Magnetic if I really crank the high frequencies, the Motown EQ, COSMOS to add lowend to kicks, E-Gate/Expander for cleaning up content... calling them "Legacy" out of nowhere triggered all the wrong buttons with me.

So as longtime user, I have one main question:
Where do you we go from there?

What about the ISP bundle? AFAIK we're currently on Engine v4, but if it's sold it's still called ISP3 Bundle.
What about upgrading the bundle with new tools?
And will we pay TRIPLE for that upgrade wise? (I for example can't jump on any deal, because I already have all but MAGMA and the BBE bundle).

I'm just worried...

Hope its okay to post this question here since it is related to Nomad Factory stuff. Today I bought the Blue Tube bundle V3 and I got my serial number. I installed Everything by the book and registered the serial number online. In return I got a autorisation file that I installed in my computer.

The funny thing is that it says "Demo" on all the effects when I open them in my FL studio. But there is no demo noise, silent periods or anything like that. But still I wonder if anyone else noticed this?
I re-scanned the plugins hoping that "Demo" would be gone but that didn't help.

Any ideas?

Previously I got both Bus driver and Magma from Nomad and they were easy enough to install and without any issues.

You need to open the authorization file from within the plugin(s) is n order to complete the authorization - did you do this?

Post

Hi Jens.

I checked if there is any option to do that but there is only, Utility / Online registration. When I choose that I get to Nomad website but there is nothing to do there. There is a message there saying "we don't support this way of registration ...bla bla bla".
Is there any other way to open the file from within the plugins?

@ATN69 - I bought the ISP3 bundle yesterday (it also includes the Blue Tube bundle), authorized today morning and had the same experience - some of the plugins still shows "DEMO" in the list of installed plugins (in Reaper and Orion), but I believe they're authorized anyway since there's no nag screen when I insert them into a project :-)

Yeah, I also came to the same conclusion. They are infact authorized but FL list them as demo for some reason. So it seems to be more of a cosmetic issue. Strange though! :ud: Thanks for sharing your experience because now I am 100% convinced.

Hi everyone,

Just to follow up on Peter's post...

Regarding products pre-2016, Nomad Factory used a different license generation system where one had to register the product on the Nomad site with their serial, to then receive an auth file or activation code to be read by the 'Software Activator' app included in the packed installer "Authorise Your Software" folder.

Details for this process are included in your order confirmation receipt and can be viewed still on the Nomad site here.

It was perhaps an arduous procedure reflecting todays ease of use a lone serial or iLok license comparatively, but it still the process in use for these products.

As of 2016, Plugivery, we, acquired the company post the sad passing of Bernie. In that time we have been working closely, myself as QA | Creative Development | Product Specialist to bring new plug-ins to the forefront for release. Bus Driver, Drum Tools the first two with a lot more coming your way in the next months. These of which use our new authorisation system... a window that displays when you open the GUI to demo, buy, authorise, and the option to click on the [UTILS] button and select "Enter your activation code...".

We're actively developing new products as I say and those older will be reviewed again in due course to be updated with the new auth system, bugs fixed, etc. But, please be aware that this may take some time as the developers and team need to review code from 40+ hard drives recovered from Nomad HQ, may need to reverse engineer and bring them up-to-date through a new framework. We also wish to enhance them, so stay tuned for updates.

Regarding support, we are now using a new system that will allow us to deliver faster and more detailed first line service. We have a suite of FAQs and direct contact may be had through ticket at help.nomadfactory.com

Also, on the help/support site you will see a new 'Licenses' tab where you can get quick access to your previously purchased product serials/activation codes securely with your login (using the e-mail address used for purchase).

Myself and the team wish to thank you all for your support :tu:

P.s. Demo's and Nomad Factory product installers can be found here.

Hey Ashley,

You are right digitalboytn, we can't say for sure that we are going to succeed as for any business strategy but we do have strong arguments. As I mentioned above, we've been distributing Nomad products for almost a decade and have been involved in almost every product line development. We have a huge customer base that are interested in Nomad Factory products and we are investing a lot of money into the companies revamping.

Some are worried about the very aggressive promo prices we've announced this month. Well yeah they are very aggressive but does anyone worry about that famous plug-in company that permanently promote their products at very hard discounts ? Competition is though out there...

It is YOU folks that make the market. Would we prefer to sell as many products at a much higher price ? I'll let you guys answer that!

Nomad Factory is one of those companies that generate great interest and this thread clearly shows that. Many users stated above, that they never bought or even demoed any Nomad Factory products but are now doing so considering the very attractive promo prices. That's fantastic ! Many of you will now download and discover how interesting these products are. Nomad products have this groovy sound that makes them very different from any other plug-ins on the market and that's what makes them so "creative"...

Created by Musicians, for Musicians used to advertise Nomad Factory and that's exactly what we'll keep in mind as we restructure the company and create great new products. Have you tried the NEW Drum Tools Plug-in yet?

The promo won't last for ever so go for it NOW !

Your business is greatly appreciated and it definitely helps us keep the boat going...

Thanks - Peter
