I received the e-mail as well, but I allready own it. I am more excited about the other news in the e-mail, the youtube video inwhich an other famous synth is demonstrated by Dave. Could this be their next project?ere2learn wrote:Oddity2 - 50% OFF!

I haven't heard any rumors, but that would be very cool.Rommelaar wrote:I received the e-mail as well, but I allready own it. Love this synth. Really wish it had polyphonic aftertouch though. IT's a beautiful pad machine now but needs more expression from the keyboard. MPE mode would be even better. Actually it already can split it's voices. But no way to modulate things by poly pressure or y axis. Too bad.

It doesn't respond to any aftertouch at all.Echoes in the Attic wrote:Love this synth. Really wish it had polyphonic aftertouch though. You can assign what ever midi controller numbers you want to what ever parameters you want.zerocrossing wrote:It doesn't respond to any aftertouch at all.Echoes in the Attic wrote:Love this synth. Except for aftertouch (pressure) and poly pressure. Unless they've changed it. I emailed the developer a while back and they said, "We're not currently working on any functionality additions to Oddity 2. We are always keen to listen to users when the time comes to think about 2.0s etc, and I will certainly make sure that we discuss aftertouch with the dev. That said, it won't be anytime soon."Dasheesh wrote:You can assign what ever midi controller numbers you want to what ever parameters you want.zerocrossing wrote:It doesn't respond to any aftertouch at all.Echoes in the Attic wrote:Love this synth. I doubt it. Dave just loves synths. Great video!Rommelaar wrote:I am more excited about the other news in the e-mail, the youtube video inwhich an other famous synth is demonstrated by Dave. Could this be their next project?

Well, a simple MIDI transformer plugin before Oddity loaded takes care of that. Quite easy to convert aftertouch to any CC one wishes.

I've tried that and it's OK, but it doesn't really work as well as well implemented native aftertouch support. Bonus if they let you adjust a sensitivity curve. The thing is... isn't this standard? I'm not asking for something crazy or unusual. It's a deal at this price though... cheaper than my upgrade price. If they did a 50% off the upgrade price I'd snap it up.EvilDragon wrote:Well, a simple MIDI transformer plugin before Oddity loaded takes care of that. I don't know of any midi transformer that can send different midi signals to different voices. So no there is no way to fake polyphonic aftertouch.EvilDragon wrote:Well, a simple MIDI transformer plugin before Oddity loaded takes care of that. Quite easy to convert aftertouch to any CC one wishes.

Wait, don't answer that. I'm not in the mood to get into aurgumentative conjecture. Personally, If I wasn't so lazy right now, I would look up what controller number my midi keyboard is using for poly/aftertouch and assign it to a parameter. Maybe it doesn't work that way though. I'm too tired to care right now, just trying to help.
