Diffusion is a common feature in many delay plugins today, why does MMultiBandDelay not have a diffusion option? It would open many more possibilities for creating those lush, ambient spaces, especially inside MXXX when combined with other things. There are some workarounds in MXXX but it's still not the real thing.

The diffusion delay in NI's Replika is gorgeous, but that plugin is a total CPU hog. I'd love to hear Melda's take on it, they'd probably do an excellent job!

Yes diffusion would be great.
And, as I already some time in the past, a bigger delay time. 500ms in 2016 is a bit antediluvian. I know it may break compatibility, but to introduce it in version 10 would be a good opportunity.

True, although working around that time limitation, the maximum length in Sync-mode is 64 bars in 4/4, at the minimum tempo e.g. in a DAW like Logic which is 5 BPM, that would equal a time of 3072 seconds (51 minutes + 12 seconds), which is quite a lot, but 500 ms is really stingy.Wanterkeelt wrote:Yes diffusion would be great.

Of course my maths were wrong, as the maximum delay time in Sync mode is 64 bars dotted, making it 96 bars, times 4 beats = 4608 seconds with BPM set to 5. That equals 76 minutes and 48 seconds.Sampleconstruct wrote:True, although working around that time limitation, the maximum length in Sync-mode is 64 bars in 4/4, at the minimum tempo e.g. in a DAW like Logic which is 5 BPM, that would equal a time of 3072 seconds (51 minutes + 12 seconds), which is quite a lot, but 500 ms is really stingy.Wanterkeelt wrote:Yes diffusion would be great.

Hehe ok, so you gave a good argument why it should be possible to give us I'd say 10 seconds in unsynced mode

Actually, when using this delay inside MXXX, the max delay time (un-synced) is 10 seconds.Wanterkeelt wrote:Hehe ok, so you gave a good argument why it should be possible to give us I'd say 10 seconds in unsynced mode

Yes I know, but I don't want to go into MXXX for each delay I create.
Let's see what Vojtech says.

Hmmm, I quite don't follow, what would "diffusion" do in a delay? It makes sense in a reverb, but I don't see a sense here.

Here is a quick and dirty video demo, demonstrating the benefits of the diffusion and size parameters in Valhalla UberMod. Come on, Vojtech, you can do it

Is it possible to add more than one delay line (band) over the whole frequency spectrum?
Seperate Panning feature for every band?
Seperate frequency lp/hp for every band?

You can run all six bands in parallel, then you have up to 12 delay lines. Right click on a band -> Crossover -> Disabled.Svama wrote:Is it possible to add more than one delay line (band) over the whole frequency spectrum?
