I don't know how many testers they have vs number of individuals submitting bug reports but there was a rather collection of reported bugs on the testing site that were resolved. I only submitted about 4 reports myself (2 crashes, 1 playback glitch, 1 GUI problem). It's a pretty damn deep program though so it's difficult to test absolutely everything, especially if you have a full time job and family.VitaminD wrote:I'm guessing the bulk of the testers aren't there to test, but get free software before everyone else.. so big bugs get missed..Boardwalk wrote:Of course they will fix things. They should do that in advance though. But hey.. this place is an ocean of voluntary beta testers. Which leaves the customer no power at all in regard to their purchase. Okidoki, not?
Remember though: the worst slave is a voluntary one (Nigerian proverb).
Not going to name names, but testing was a lot more thorough cross-platform than some other companies, one of which has primarily wavetable synths...
