Has anyone found the changelogs for the new V collection?

I'd like to see if the Jup-8V got any sound improvements or tweaks, or if any of the other "classic" synths got improved sound updates.

I know I've heard the complaint that many of Arturia's older synths aren't even close to being accurate emulations, and I would think Arturia would have improved the sound along with the interfaces to kill two birds with one stone.

I'm assuming the demos are the same DLL without the activation code and once entered in will function fully.

Kevin why can't I import my SEM bank into the new version? - I have my own bank (SEMBlance) and 3 other third party banks I need to use. It just doesn't recognise the format for banks or individual presets.

I seriously doubt it. That would probably make old presets sound different than with the "legacy" engine. The only solution would be to create a backward compatible legacy mode. Marketing wise - that's a huge thing. And since Arturia didn't mention any of that stuff - I seriously doubt they touched the original sound engines.

I know people don't think they match up 100 percent to the originals, and that might be true. It is a trickier subject that many realize - even two of the same analog synths might not sound the same. So far I've yet to see any developer to update their "analog" audio engine and include a backward compatible legacy mode.

Personally I think they are good synthesizers in their own right.

Took less than an hour for me

With Audio Deluxe, if they have the license in stock it is usually delivered fairly quickly. If they have to go back to the vendor it may take an extra day. But they've always come through and I have never had any issues with them. No issues with JRR Shop either.

But we are currently developing a preset converter in order to make your patches from the legacy versions compatible with the new plugins.

This app should be available in the forthcoming weeks/months.

Hi Guys,

With the new arp you can change the display scaling and also the plugin window size by sizing the lower right corner.

With the modular I don't seem to be able to size with the lower right corner. Is this working for anyone?

The two update licenses I purchased are still in pending state (in my account).
Are they going to activate it manually? Or I need to do something? I thought it would be activated instantly in Arturia Software Center, but they still show as demos.

I think you should write to the support, I had two of my orders delivered immediately, while there was a problem with the third one which went to pending state. I payed with PayPal and when redirected to Arturia's website there was no tracking number, I received only the PayPal notification email.

I wrote the order number (as shown in the account) and the PayPal transaction number in my support request and they sorted the issue quickly.


I suppose in my case it was a communication issue between systems, they happen sometimes and I'm (almost) cool with that.
I don't know how much time it takes to confirm with other payment methods, but usually credit cards are pretty fast, so they shouldn't cause any delay to the orders.

OK that's annoying, I hope it is more weeks than months. I know the old versions work alongside the new but I really don't like having to switch between them. So are the presets all brand new then? Otherwise how did you get them into the new versions?

Ouch! Does this concern all synthesizers in V5?

From what I can see from rooting around in folders is that presets were previously stored as monolithic banks, whereas they are now stored individually.

All a preset is is a bunch of values, which is why many devs store them as human readable plain text or XML files. In both cases here they are in an encrypted/compressed format.

If it was a straight conversion, one would imagine it is a case of just decompressing, running a conversion script, and recompressing. A few hours work to package up and release a script to do that.

Clearly it is not though, if it will take weeks or months. So, this might indicate some DSP changes in older plugins? Hopefully.
