OK I don't know if this was suggested but it's a simple thing and it would help me a lot.
When the master volume peeks it would be nice to have a numeric value displayed showing the maximum peek in dB.
This feature is available in Cool Edit and I use it all the time.

I even once suggested that myself. 
I know this feature from VSampler.
It is not very important to have that feature, since internal clipping is impossible anyway (floating point operation), and you can normalize the output on creation. Still it would be quite 'nice-to-have' because nobody likes all those red blocks...

I second this request.
When you export a song as an audio file it is ideal to have volume as loud as possible without clipping. Since Tracktion doesn't have a number displaying how much audio is clipping on the master out it is very tedouse to try to figure out at what db your song is clipping. The solution to this is to lower a bunch than raise than lower than raise....big hassle. Hopefully it will be implemented in T2.

Aleatoric, you don't have to do this by hand. If you choose 'normalize' on audio export, Tracktion will effectively automatically adjust the master volume to the loudest non-clipping value.

Although you didn't ask for alternatives and workarounds, Elemental Audio Systems' free Inspector looks to be a useful plug for this stuff. More features than I need in a track inspector, but that suits me just fine.

No worries. I figure the "headroom" readout will be handy, along with the clip dB readout.
