This might be the best Arturia instrument. This is the star of the collection IMO. Definitely it will be my best synth of the year (if not ever!). Starting to save some money for it because there is no way I won't get it.
Congratulations Arturia for making the King of the synths!

Both are offering a 30$ voucher for further purchases, no directly discounted price.2ZrgE wrote:You mean 199 dollar, or 169 dollar? I always get the 199 on both Audiodeluxe and Plugindiscount, both logged in.4damind wrote:Audiodeluxe has it also for the discounted price...
At least no taxes and no Euro.

PluginDiscounts just changed it. I already had it in my cart for $169, but then had to do something else before I had a chance to checkout. When I came back, it was at $199. Damn it!!MtB1 wrote:Both are offering a 30$ voucher for further purchases, no directly discounted price.2ZrgE wrote:You mean 199 dollar, or 169 dollar? Me too - but it has made me realise that I just don't want it anyway- none of the plugs sound as good as stuff I already have (Diva, Komplete etc) and MUST just stop upgrading when upgrades come out- I haven't even used a bloody Arturia plug for over a year (I am still on V collection 2....)martin_l wrote:PluginDiscounts just changed it. As I say the promo code 'groupbuyauto' automatically added itself when I bought it from JRRShop taking off $30. Took me a while to get the code as there was such a backlog from Arturia sending it to redistributions (ordered at 1pm and license finally arrived around midnight) so I've not had chance to download and play yet.

I do not own any of the Arturia synths as none of them have wowed me when I tried them but Synclaviar is definitely a WIN for them. I guess it's that good because they could use the original code and so had less opportunities to mess it up.EnGee wrote:The Synclavier! Wow! Can't stop playing and tweaking it! tried this code, but it was not recognized. Also, nothing was added automatically. Maybe they exhausted their contingent, or realized that enough people will buy also for 199.mcbpete wrote:As I say the promo code 'groupbuyauto' automatically added itself when I bought it from JRRShop taking off $30. Lol same here, 99 for just the GUIs is too much, and I'm not sure if I really need some other pianos/organs and stuff...SLiC wrote:Me too - but it has made me realise that I just don't want it anyway- none of the plugs sound as good as stuff I already have (Diva, Komplete etc) and MUST just stop upgrading when upgrades come out- I haven't even used a bloody Arturia plug for over a year (I am still on V collection 2....)martin_l wrote:PluginDiscounts just changed it. In the "about" box, the original developer is the lead programmer, but not only this really. It is a perfect synth! The presets are so good and you feel it is a very well done synth. I don't know! it's very easy to be inspired with it more than any synth I haverobotmonkey wrote:

The other synths that from my favourites and sound great IMO, are SEM V, Mini V and Prophet V.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

€99,- is a lot indeed. Just for something they should've released earlier, per instrument and for free...2ZrgE wrote:Lol same here, 99 for just the GUIs is too much, and I'm not sure if I really need some other pianos/organs and stuff...SLiC wrote:Me too - but it has made me realise that I just don't want it anyway- none of the plugs sound as good as stuff I already have (Diva, Komplete etc) and MUST just stop upgrading when upgrades come out- I haven't even used a bloody Arturia plug for over a year (I am still on V collection 2....)martin_l wrote:PluginDiscounts just changed it. However, i have updated modular for €10,- and the update on that particular synth, made me opening it and playing with it immediately. Awesome lay-out. Smooth and fun to play with, in contrast to the "old" plugin.

I have not had a chance to look at what is included in the updates in detail, but if the resizable GUI is the main thing, I am not gonna pay €99 to upgrade just to be getting that.exmatproton wrote:€99,- is a lot indeed. Having a good GUI to work with is of course important, but the sound is the most important part in the end, and if that engine is bascially the same in V3 as V2, then I pass

I would very much like the upgrading of individual plugins to be an available option also for owners on V Collection Classics.

Everyone wants everything for free, of course, and there is a certain expectation that products you buy once should be supported, and extended with new stuff, forever, at no, or virtually no additional cost to the user.exmatproton wrote:€99,- is a lot indeed. However, the work (and costs) involved in a team of developers designing and developing new, modern cross-platform resolution-independent frameworks and redesigning all the graphics front end to a sizeable collection of reasonably complex instruments is expensive, and companies have to stay in business.
Personally, I think the new interfaces are a big deal and will make a huge difference in usability to these products, but if they aren't important to you, no one is forcing you to upgrade. As always, the creator sets the price, and the user works out whether the utility is worth the cost, and that equation is different for everyone...
