So How Does One Pronounce "Vojtech"?

I just watched the new video on spectrum displays, and the narrator actually said "Vojtech" at one point. I had always assumed the "j" was silent, but it was not in the narration. Also, I have always wondered whether "Vo" calls for an "o" that is the same as in the English work "go" or is it more like that in the word "dot".

Great video, by the way. As always, there seems to be an astonishing amount of depth there that was never suspected!

I've always heard that name pronounced as "Voy-Tech", but who knows.....

I'd say "Voy-check" would be more accurate phonetically talking

Wow. I thought it was just me. I've been catching up reading some posts in this forum and came across a few that bring up Vojtech's stubborn streak.

'Woitek' would be most appropriate, I think :)
