I'd really, really like to know if there's a way to get rid of the annoying splash screen and save dialogue on start and exit?

I don't mind the splash screen so much, but the irritating window asking what I want to do?! I always just start up mulab and would prefer mulab to just show splash screen and open last project.

On exit, I don't want to be asked when exiting just after saving the project!

Is there a way to turn these things off? If not, could it be considered as a fr?

Thanks :)

The startup dialog is the way it works now. Just click the top button, that will open your last project.

That's unavoidable. See http://www.mutools.com/info/docs/mulab/ ... swers.html

Thats the problem! Its irritating having a screen asking if you want to do the same thing everytime you startup. Just a simple option to disable this screen would be good.
Read and understood. But you misunderstand, i again simply want to completely disable the dialogue. I'm quite capable of remembering to save before close. I do this in practically every app that requires it. So I dont need reminding.

I also find them annoying, but, as Michael L points out when the kids are killing each other or the wife hit that certain pitch in her voice, a chap may occidentally delete a master piece when leaping into action to restore world peace.

i like the open dialog asking if i wanna open the last project etc. asking if i wanna save after i saved is somewhat annoying but not terrible. then again i did ask for the task bar items to be toggle-able and had to explain my need for it more than once. as if it wasnt obvious...? that sort of irked me. and then a bunch of idiots gave me the posse treatment as if. so i go away for a couple of years and i come back and its been changed to what i asked for... WTF? either im a god damned visionary or the peanut gallery is working overtime.

I missed that post!

I see you're point, and yes, I do have family, but never has it affected my ability to save. If unsure, save again. That's what I do.

This exit dialogue could have potential negative impact. Imagine using mulab regularly and using close to save, then moving to another app thinking work is saved, you habitually close it and lose work you've done!

Works both ways, there's arguments for and against, always. I don't see why you won't just add an option to remove it. After all, mulab's prime goal is efficiency, isn't it?

Another reason why mulab's custom design is a bad thing. A traditional toolbar would have a save icon, much faster and easier than the current situation.

I agree, I'm used to having a save icon. But I wouldn't say MuLabs custom design is bad,, just different.

Yeah, sorry poor choice of words. But would be nice to have icons for certain functions, just as a traditional toolbar does.

Open, save, save as, these are the mainly used ones but would be good to be able to add whatever we found most useful. Maybe in M95!!!

ooh nice idea for the save button on the taskbar. i also thought maybe autosave would be a wise thing once processor usage went below a threshold or something like that. maybe a configurable thing?
