Every step clip can contain multiple patterns. If you only have one, right-click its bottom line and select "New pattern." Then right-click its bottom line and select "Pattern 1," "Pattern 2," "Pattern 3," etc...
Is that the only way to access/activate them? I can't seem to find a keyboard shortcut for that. Is it possible to do with macros?

It's only currently possible with the mouse but I've added an FR to our script suggestion list so we may add something to do this via macros in the future.
