It does work here, yes.TheoM wrote:chk071 wrote:What exactly do you mean by "offline audio file analysis"? Elements lets you analyze the file, and put out average rms, peak, and other stuff. Not sure what "offline" means though.TheoM wrote: Also, if i am to understand correctly, elements doesn't have offline audio file analysis? As in average rms, peak point, etc?
so you can indeed highlight a bit of the file and get numerical statistics on it?

Just to clear things up...
Select a part of a song, or don't select anything (then the whole song is being analyzed) - then press y on your keyboard... this should open the "(offline) analysis/statistics".
If that is working in Elements - then you can use it.
I've yet to update my WL9 version... guess I'll do that in the next hour or so.
What's more important to know for me however... will WL now go the same 2-year upgrade cycle as CubEndo? I sure hope not. But what I can already confirm - WL9 is so much more stable and supports many more plugins than WL8 did before. Might be because of the half-rewritten GUI with QT5.

Y key simply focuses the Analyze Ribbon Tab where you have a few more options, but you also skip right to SHIFT + Y to open the Global Analysis window.chk071 wrote:What do you call up with the y key in Wavelab Pro? I only see that you can call up the global analysis with SHIFT + y in Wavelab Elements.
A new feature in WL9 allows more than one Global Analysis window to be open at one time.
