I wish they could come up with a quick fix so that us V Collection Classics owners could update just the instruments we already haveKevin [Arturia] wrote: We have a couple of update for next week, I don't know if we will have time to fix it for that one but we have another round of update schedule for mid June, we will had this fix then.
I appreciate that there is no V5 of the classics collection to move to - but surely we could trade our "classics collection" license for individual ones for the synths? That way we could upgrade them like people who bought the instruments separately.
Either that or some sort of "Classics Collection upgrade" package. After all, you invented the "Upgrade from V Collection Classics to V Collection 4 Update" for us (which doesn't really interest me)
( I get upgrading to the full V5 Collection - but I don't get why you would do this one...)
I don't think it's that weird that we'd just want to upgrade the instruments we have - do you?

If i remember correctly i was trying to help by pointing out that these 2 rocker switches do not respond to clicks, but to dragging.exmatproton wrote:Baptiste Arturia wrote:Guys,

I dont know, maybe i shouldnt have done that, i just thought it might be of benefit to those who thought that these 2 rocker switches are 'not being functional'.

Resizable GUIs and better preset browsing, nice! But 99 dollars is way too much for just for updating the V-Collection 4 plugins. And I don´t need the extra plugins for 199 dollars. I hoped for a better deal.

Welp, I can't afford to purchase more VSTs atm since I've been focusing more on gamedev than music and have had some expenses related to that. However I couldn't pass up on updating my V-Collection 4 to the latest; I really appreciate all the hard work and effort that went into making the GUI's a lot more usable. Can't really say for sure if it sounds any better but I certainly prefer how all the instruments have a consistent GUI scheme and I really like the new Analog Lab 2.
Honestly, there are some instruments like the Arp and Modular that I just lost interest in because the GUI was too off putting, that now I feel excited enough about to actually go fiddle around with, so that's a win in my book!

In some instruments, they are simply scaled up. About their plans to upgrade it, please see the official Arturia thread (does not read optimistic for me...):Gosh wrote:does anyone know if the blurred guis of the solina, the vox continental and the wurli have been updated or if this is planned for one of the next updates?

Please tell me you saved the conversation. I was told today it's only 2 months:phaded wrote:"Support from Arturia actually said "We do offer a grace period, but 6 months is honestly already quite long"
Me:
Hello, I wish to take advantage of your grace period as I've recently upgraded to V4. Please advise. Thank you.
Arturia:
We'll unfortunately not be able to follow up on your demand since the grace period is two months long.

Yes I have it and can FWD it. Although they changed thier tune and said the grace period was 1 month. So now there are THREE different grace period policies? I suppose it just depends on the customer and/or the mood of the support rep.I'll say it again:. $99 / $199 for long-time users is fair. But the way the handled the V4 sale / promotion to new users was just plain wrong. Same crap FXSpansion pulled last year by having a huge sale on DCAM Synth Squad only to have their hands out for Strobe 2 shortly after. Although to be fair- that might have been worse considering they mothballed Synth Squad as a package right after the promo!
I've asked Arturia repeatedly WHY it was not disclosed that there was a paid upgrade forthcoming?
Silence.

"Hi,
I'm a a technical support agent but I will try to reply to your complaint with what I can.
There is a grace period of 1 month for those who bought the VC4 and wish to get a VC4 update for free and the upgrade to VC5 for the price of 99€/$
We are charging for the newest updates for our instruments since we have re-programmed everything and upgraded the entirety of our plugin collection. This is a fair price given the updates provided!
Arturia has invested a lot in the latest major updates as the software synths have been entirely reprogrammed, as a small small company and to continue doing what it does it needs to make some profits. We have always made updates free up until this post-May 2016 major ones.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
All the best,
Amine"
Fun times.
