There once was an upon a time that Tracktion would not load Play plugins. Still true? On all versions?

Searching with Google I found one message where someone stated he got it working, no details however. And I haven't been able to make mine work. Latest Play version (64bit), with Tracktion 7.1.1 (64bit) windows 8.1 64bit.
Would like to know how to get it working, as I only get a message during scan that the file looks like a plugin but failed to load.

That helps for my decision to upgrade or not
)): I will stay with T 6, that runs without problems on win 64 bit with play. I have just bought play for the first time in the latest east west deals for boxed versions (Ghostwriter, Goliath) and even have built a simple rack with it. Runs without problems (one crash while opening tracktion but as rack with 8 channels it really has to load LOT of samples from an external disk, so that could happen I would think).

I have gotten to work. You do have to let it install the plugin where it wants to (Like Falcon), and add that path to the scan path in Tracktion (C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins).
Running 64-bit tracktion 7 with 64-bit play 4.3.5 with ilok authorized locally against the computer, not a dongle. It seemed to help to re-install everything with the latest versions of the instruments and all from the EW Installation center.
Good luck with it; it's always been finicky.

Thanks brewt, got it working as well now.
I guess I was always looking for the wrong location. Don't remember where I read to look for the WorldBuilder dll, but that's what I did ... while I should just have been looking for the play_VST dll in the VSTPlugins folder, as you mentioned.
It's working great now.
Thanks again.
