Is it okay to use the chorus inside the plugin? Or is no chorus at all allowed?

Anything in the plugin is fine, just no external chorus.j-shiji-official wrote:Is it okay to use the chorus inside the plugin? Or is no chorus at all allowed?

That clears a lot of things up, thanks very much!z.prime wrote: Yes, stereo widening effects have been pretty widely used and accepted, just not chorus, flanger or modulating ones. The important thing (in my opinion) is that you do something you *could* do with the synth itself. You *could* make 2 instances the same, program 2 midi notes milliseconds apart and pan each with the exact same result.

Nice of you to share this Sami. Drums are always the most difficult to make from a sound design point of view. This is what I'm working on.

I kinda hate to be typing this, but I might sit out of this one. The development limbo I've gotten myself in to is quite frustrating. I've already gone through "2" ideas, and it looks like I'm shooting for a third. Ugh.
On a more positive note: That DnB thing you got going there is AMAZING! I wish I had those drums/skills for my last track.
And also: Music producing outside? Man, I applaud you. You actually WANT to go outside. I get all my Vitamin D from an 80 watt bulb.
Quick edit question: Are third-party bit-crushers allowed, or no?
2nd edit: 3rd time's the charm.

Hey y'all.
I just zipped up a couple drums I've been building for this contest..
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/163 ... -drums.zip
You can hear them featured in this little WIP demo that I've been making so far:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ydbk8xvfyteg9 ... r.mp3?dl=0
I will often start a track just to build presets and then start an entirely new track using those presets for my actual entry. Don't know what'll happen this month.

I don't know. I might go for the unexpected and do a boring track.z.prime wrote:I know!
