Well, if it makes you feel any better, I'm already well on the way to a boring track! I already have 4 minutes of boring ideas with boring sounds all jumbled together...

At first I really hated Noisemaker, but then I finally got the hang of it. Then this happened today-ish:

That's the bass/lead I'm using in my osc, but those kicks aren't. Just default Fl Studio stuff. Also, I get this probably isn't gonna blow anyone's mind, but being one of the osc nubs (and nub producer in general), this is one of the best sounds I've ever made ever; and I'm way more excited than I should be about it.

Question:

TAL products, including NoizeMaker, have MIDI learn functions. Logic X comes with "MIDI FX" plugins which can afford the use of an extra envelope or LFO. While I frequenky use other MDID FX plugins for velocity variability and the arpeggiator, would the use of stock plugins granting the extra envelope or LFO, be legal in the competition.

I don't even know if it will be needed, but I'm curious, and make use of an extra envelope most frequently.

Yes!! Modulate away! Automation, MIDI FX, automation FX (I'm looking at you with lustful eyes, Bitwig) are all allowed as long as it's not a commercial 3rd party plugin.

Here's my work so far. Think I've finally decided to go with this for the chorus. It's all still very much a rough draft, but it's coming together. Definitely going for a retro/synthwave vibe. Let me know what you think.

Ok, quick question: What do we do when Soundcloud destroys our songs? My mix sounds good in DAW and in the Wav file, but when I upload it to Soundcloud, it's pretty bad.

I mean, the hats sound terrible, the kicks sound muddy, and some of the other white noise effects don't sound great.
