:phew: This was a great deal of work!
I felt that I spent more time to judge all this tracks than to create my own song :D
(Sorry, can somebody, who knows what I mean, translate this in a correct english? :( )

What I want to say? ahm ... : VOTED!!!

Good luck to everybody!

In other news, HOLY CRAP. 60+ songs?! Man, I didn't realize that there'd be this big a turnout.
I gots me a soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/real_skylake

yeah it's a huge job voting this month, I downloaded the zip with all the tracks , for easier listening, more than 250 minutes of sounds, melodies and grooves! So far I listened to all once and a few twice. There are enough songs similar to each other, no surprising maybe since the only synth used and that ubiquitous arpeggiator. And even same style of composing maybe.

My way of voting is making first a selection generously giving high points to all I found somewhat interesting or beautiful. So I have 5 folders named 1 2 3 4 5, and I move the mp3s there, according to the first selection folder 4 and 5 would be the ones with more tracks. Then with further selections I downgrade the tracks leaving in folders 4 and 5 only the ones that grow on me with further listening.

BTW I apologize for not having replied or added comments to SoundCloud, as I'm quite busy with coding.
Many thanks for the comments on You love me by surprise.

Thanx for the translation :hail:

Damn! "this/these" is a big mistake, :scared:
and you can see: OSC is always good for learning

Voted! Yes, I went through the trouble of voting, even without having joined in for this one. I just couldn't for some reason.
Anyway, some really, really bizarre tracks this month besides great excellence and truly unusual innovations for OSC songs.
I can't quite tell, whether my voting was entirely fair or properly balanced, but it's all been my first impressions and I held back nothing. I really hope, you guys won't hate me for some of my harsher comments, hehe, but ...uhm... it comes from a place of sincere care, I promise you that! Also, I'm not an expert at any length and my opinions are simply at the height of my understanding, however high or low that may be.

All in all, every single one of you is always contributing a passage to this enormously entertaining and exciting ride here! Thank you all! :tu: :phones:

My feedback "I just kinda hate it..."

Now:
A) I'm very open to constructive feedback;
B) along with opinions on different viewpoints, interests and music genre's; but
C) you didn't even participate.

Your comment therefore seems a bit unnecessary.
"I was wondering if you'd like to try Magic Mushrooms"
"Oooh I dont know. Sounds a bit scary"
"It's not scary. You just lose a sense of who you are and all that sh!t"

Post

Yeah, man, I'm sorry. I listen to it until I couldn't contain myself anymore, because I want to give all songs a fair shake and there were some hard nuts to chew through.
I did, however, add that your sound design was interesting! That means, I gave you what I heard and what I felt. I know, people are generally only saying something, if they have something positive to tell, but outside of that they simply say nothin' and you just find a bad vote. I'm telling you why I voted the way I did. It wasn't that there were any severe technical issues, it's just monotonous panic and aggressive anger that simply went straight against my grain.
I know, it's no consolation, if I tell you that your song was the only one that had me express this feeling directly, but- on the other hand- maybe you don't mind that it did evoke such a strong emotion?!

Anyway, this is really, really just me. Plenty of people dig this sort of thing and I can only hope they let you know about it, too!

The one thing I wonder about has been Kurczok?! Is there something I don't know about, like a condition that would render my verdict extremely insensitive?

Ok but I'm still confused. I despise hip hop but I'd hardly go onto Kayne's page and leave negative feedback. It just isn't my thing and so I stay away.

I fully appreciate you don't like that type of music, most don't. My point is "interesting sounds" would have been sufficient.

Well, if Kayne (?) were to do an OSC track I'd have to vote on, I'd give'em honest feedback, too. I would never troll around on somebody's page and give bad comments.

Anyway, don't be too sensitive about this, it doesn't fit the ferociousness and confidence of your music, you know. You really seem like a strong person! Keep it all up, don't let my ruthless comment push you off your lane, of course. It's a harsh world out there and here and there it's not half bad to get a deeper glimpse at it. Also, don't forget that I said " I just KINDA hate it", which has been my attempt to say that I don't "totally" hate it, while at this point I most certainly wouldn't have left a comment at all.

Please, don't feel too bad about this or get to mad over this. I really want you to know that I completely appreciate everyone's track, including yours very much so, for the immense diversity it creates for this trip!

Again, stay strong, keep tearing it up and hopefully forgive me, if I stomped too much on your toes there!

By the way: I'd so desperately love to try magic mushrooms!!!

for Mushy Mushy , since you're here replying I would take the opportunity to say something about your track for this OSC, which came like a surprise to my ears.

I studied musicology, so I'm interested in all kind of music, all genres,
for they tell me a lot about the human culture, and I like that.
And also as wannabe composer I take a bit from everywhere for my tracks,
(which are then so much styles jumping)
even from genres I don't like, which is the case of your track
which I assume it's some kind of psytrance (labels are in EDM are always evolving),
this fast obsessive aggressive psytrance for me has roots both in african music and the fastest polkas of eastern traditions.
As I said your 'pole dancing on skis' was a surprise because I didn't found it boring
even though 7:10 and repetitive, and because it's quite different from the other OSC entries.
At first I thought you must have cheated on the rules because the kick drum sounds too good
to be made with Podolski, but I think you didn't cheat so this is a praise.
Being in this genre the short bassline and the kick drum the same through the whole song,
I take that they must be extremely well sounding and balanced so that the hypnotic effect can sustain.
And it seems you succeed in that.
So I don't usually listen to psytrance and the like, but since I like the roots where it comes from
it's still interesting to me.
