What about the performance of Diva being loaded into Kontrol being loaded into DAW ... any downside?

Can't be any worse than Diva on her own

I don't think there is any performance issue, I think Komplete Kontrol won't add any noticeable CPU towards it.

Wow, the way you guys integrated how you can batch convert your user presets...WOW! Really happy I bought the Diva this year and this update made it even beter!

Various reasons...

Two or three things to know: Our NKS implementation is very full featured. The automatic parameter layout goes beyond the original concept of NKS. Hence we requested some features to make this even better, and we hope to see those implemented soon. (Note to myself: Keep nagging NI). However, we had also expected a huge rise in Diva sales, but it wasn't as spectacular as we had hoped.

Based on this, we decided we need to develop a new product first to create some revenue (Repro). In the meantime we'd maybe also get the features we requested.

This time is dragged out even further by changes to our team, development of in house tools, trade shows and an oversight in the original Presswerk setup (4 wrong letters) which cost us months of work to fix up. Latter has stalled a lot of progess lately...

However, Hive NKS is coming. As always, we just can't say when. But we do our best! And we can at least say, some major work (tagging 3000 presets) has pretty much been done already.

I'm questioning whether I have placed my bet on the wrong horse, I got myself an Akai Advance / VIP, after
seeing how the NKS mapping is reactive to what modules are selected inside of Diva

So yeah, a stronger sales pitch for the combo of Diva and a deep/smart controller mapping is perhaps needed... This is brilliant!

ps. aaaaand a similar push to the NKS competition, meaning AKAI et al and their VIP software, to step up their game and do plugin state based mapping as well?
