It's a basic filter design that cleverly allows you to get band, high, and low passes all in one, and you can switch between them.EDGEK8D wrote: What's with the "State Variable" or SV filters? Am I missing something about how to "vary the state"?

Right, but it doesn't actually seem to do that, as far as I can tell... maybe it's a single implementation that sets some values for the HP, LP, etc., but it's certainly not a true SVFbjporter wrote:It's a basic filter design that cleverly allows you to get band, high, and low passes all in one, and you can switch between them.EDGEK8D wrote: What's with the "State Variable" or SV filters? I see the problem. You guys are using an older version of TAL I think. Update to the latest. The SVF filters are nice and warm compared to the other ones.

I believe the SV design gives you three outputs, one for HP, LP, And Band whether or not it is implemented with a switch or a pot/fader does not stop it being a SV filter. From what I have read.z.prime wrote:Right, but it doesn't actually seem to do that, as far as I can tell... maybe it's a single implementation that sets some values for the HP, LP, etc., but it's certainly not a true SVFbjporter wrote:It's a basic filter design that cleverly allows you to get band, high, and low passes all in one, and you can switch between them.EDGEK8D wrote: What's with the "State Variable" or SV filters? They do sound really nice on NM but the filter drive only seems to work with the standard filters unfortunately

I am new to Soundcloud so have a question, how do I go about sharing my song to the SC group for this contest? I see the share link but I'm unsure exactly how to go about sharing the song to the group.
Ask not what your DAW can do for you, but what you can do with your DAW

Ok thank you! I may have accidentally submitted a request for the song twice attempting to figure this thing out so apologies to whoever runs the group.z.prime wrote:Join the group, click the share to group icon on your track, click the appropriate button on the dialog.? ? ? wrote:I am new to Soundcloud so have a question, how do I go about sharing my song to the SC group for this contest? No worries, it just needs to get approved... that takes a little while sometimes.

Man I have no idea what's going on with these multiple posts. I simply edit my post and it submits it as a whole new post. Whatever.

Jesus Christ z.prime, how do your mixes/masters sound so good? Also great effort on the composition/sound design, all insanely catchy and amazing snare sounds!
