If then, ShareIt charges the VAT, not Tone2, because they use that payment system. But you can easily see that, when you checkout. But why would they charge VAT for non-EU citizens?

What I want to know is why there just isn't a simple fair conversion between the Euro and US price? Why does Tone 2 have two completely different prices for the two?chk071 wrote:If then, ShareIt charges the VAT, not Tone2, because they use that payment system. It's crazy.

Can you now ( as a non EU) for example go to the T2 site and choose to pay in Euros ? If you can and then whoever is their checkout vendor discounted the VAT then that would be correct, only you can check this. Try it and see what Rayblaster comes in at ?wagtunes wrote:What I want to know is why there just isn't a simple fair conversion between the Euro and US price? What may have happened to you is you automatically chose dollars and then got charged a non VAT price. Still a gigantic ripoff.

I can't check it out as I am in the EU, no matter what way you look at it the dollar price is way off.chk071 wrote:If then, ShareIt charges the VAT, not Tone2, because they use that payment system. But you can easily see that, when you checkout. But why would they charge VAT for non-EU citizens?

Better, but that is the VAT inclusive price that you shouldn't be paying, it should be € 121EnGee wrote:Ok, I got a different price when I check out with paypal:woodsdenis wrote:So you can't choose to pay in Euros ? 121 euro would be an acceptable price for me.woodsdenis wrote:Better, but that is the VAT inclusive price that you shouldn't be paying, it should be € 121EnGee wrote:Ok, I got a different price when I check out with paypal:woodsdenis wrote:So you can't choose to pay in Euros ? I mean for $175 USD, I got Dune 2 + Largo (both discounted) which is much better sonic/value for me than Icarus alone.
Anyway, Codex is priced at $199, but as I remember I got it for $49 (and Element 1,2 even for less!). So, maybe they'll put it for a half price some day soon! I mean synths are getting cheaper and more affordable for the masses everyday. Even NI slashed the price of Reaktor to half, which is much more complex synth/platform than any similar with the same price.
Well, the market will have its saying. If Tone 2 can sell it easily with that price, then no future discount, otherwise, ... we'll see.

Usually sales for Tone2 products are found at Best Service (which is is an official reseller) but not at the official Tone2 shop.

Seeing as you are connected to the company you could get someone from T2 toIngonator wrote:Usually sales for Tone2 products are found at Best Service (which is is an official reseller) but not at the official Tone2 shop.
1.Explain the wildly different prices between dollars and euros in the T2 shop, and more importantly
2.Why T2 seem to charge the VAT inclusive Euro price when selling outside the EU.See EnGee paypal screen shot.

It shows the following (for Electra2, couldn't find Icarus), but maybe I need to register as I have no account with Best Service:

Sorry but i will not support your ongoing rants and derailments in this thread by doing that. Even if i would know details about this I am not in a position where i would be allowed to discuss such stuff in public.woodsdenis wrote:Seeing as you are connected to the company you could get someone from T2 toIngonator wrote:Usually sales for Tone2 products are found at Best Service (which is is an official reseller) but not at the official Tone2 shop.

If you want answers please ask Tone2 at their official e-mail address.
It would be very nice of you if you could stop your ongoing attempts derail this thread. If you want to discuss the pricing ofTone2 products further please start your own thread about it.
I am a bit pissed that people always find new ways to derail Tone2 realated threads, especially for new products. sometimes I was also pissed that some people called my attempst to explain certain features of new products like e.g. Icarus "spamming".
I am open discuss or explain certain features in Icarus and other Tone2 products (like i alraedy did a lot here) but i am not the right person to participate in rants against Tone2 or their products. Not just because i am under NDA, earned some money from them and got free NFR copies but also because i REALLY love their synths.

I am simply asking you to get someone from T2 to explain it as you seem to have a connection there.Ingonator wrote:Sorry but i will not support your ongoing rants and derailments in this thread by doing that. This is a perfectly legitimate topic for this thread as we are discussing the Icarus pricing. There is no derailing going on here. I think any intelligent person can see there is something very amiss here with the pricing of Icarus, if you dont then fair enough. You seem to be overly defensive of a very simple request.
Sorry if you see my posts as ranting, I think your response would be seen as far more of a rant.
