You would be surprised how many devs turn in when you approach them with an email asking for a discount. It's smart, because the person getting a discount will more likely buy again from you then. But please, don't flood companies with emails on discounts now, that will just spoil it for everyone else.

Do you honestly think that every store, market, website that sells stuff to people should put up a sign that says that if you own everything else we sell you will get 50 % off next purchase? Where should they draw the line in this case? "If you own 90 % of our products, you get 50 % off", "If you own 80 % of our products, your get 45 % off", and so on....many signs, or one big sign with lots of text.
Plugin Alliance & Cytomic come to mind.

Level playing field for all if that's your policy, saves everyone time, from hagglers sticking their neck out to try and get a deal to devs reading hardluck stories of why their customers wont pay the asking price

Sums up hagglers quite well that picture, you could include it when you email 2 tone

It rather sums up crybabys like yourself, which are so prominent on KVR these days.

But its alright if you get the discount, but screw everyone else, that's a nice mentality to have

Thanks. I really appreciate it, mate. :) Watch and learn, i say. As you're 'ere to learn, i guess the circle is complete.

But to adress your ridiculous point, i wouldn't have brought it up if it hadn't been brought up already. And i doubt that many people read this anyway. So, Tone2 surely won't have to rent Google's server park after this. And i doubt they would do it for everyone anyway. Maybe they don't do it at all. After all, they don't have to do it, you know. Especially with such a new synth. But i don't expect a pea brain like yours to understand the whole picture.

Most f**ked up thread in 2016.

Sorry bout that Sampleconstruct,

Post

Well, I've been trying the beta and I really like it... I'm not happy with the VAT, but that's nothing to do with Tone2 - That's the EU who are nothing but thieving heretics.

Anyway, I bought it, and I'm a happy man. But then I'm a bit of a Tone2 fan boy.
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

No worries, it's not my thread :) - but looking at the history of this anti-hype-release-thread, it's rather amazing to read through all these pages - FUBAR.

Remove the "2016", and you basically have the description of any Tone2 thread here. It's really a shame when you come here for infos, and are honestly interested in the product, and have to read through pages of hate for the company, their marketing, their business model, basically of general hate against making any kind of money. If this would be Apple, or Adobe, it might have a point (although i wouldn't even see it there, because you, as an emancipated customer have always the right to say "No, i won't buy it."). But we're talking audio software plugins here. Ridiculous.
