I bought the creative bundle over a year ago. I've gotten great use out of the included instruments and tools. I suppose it's a risk if development work has stopped on them however all I've seen are rumours about it - nothing official from iZotope. I suppose their silence on the issue doesn't help things. My advice would be to get the creative bundle but assume that you might only get 2-3 years of use out of them before they need a major update to keep working on modern hardware and OSs. of course one has to guess about the future in these cases. or perhaps iZotope can show some sign of the roadmap for these products.LGK_Dude wrote:Anyone know which of the creative bundle products are no longer being developed? From my experience submitting a bug with the VST3 version of Trash 2, and their reply saying that its a known bug and to use the VST2 version of the plugin (this was 2 years ago and still no fix!), that it seems Trash 2 is not being developed. I've heard that sutter edit and beatweaker are not being developed either, and I also remembering hearing people complaining about Iris 2 on its release that it seemed "not finished." Was it ever fixed? Unlike other software developers who have a clear history of support and continued development of their products, I have no clue what izotope plans on doing in the future, and that makes me hesitate greatly.

When I got this bundle a year ago (an even better deal then because you could use O6 to upgrade to O7 Advanced and the rest of the bundle ) you were allowed to sell off the products you upgraded from. I did not personally do this, but IIRC, there were a number of folks in the KVR marketplace that did.MogwaiBoy wrote:That reminds me of the upgrade to the Music Production bundle from Ozone 7 Advanced:

If I use Ozone to upgrade, but the bundle includes Ozone... do I end up with 2 Ozones? Can I then sell the original native Ozone license or does that become NFR in the process?
Seems almost too good to be true because if I sell the original Ozone license then it will pay for the bundle upgrade itself, maybe with some extra in the pocket.
I think all the products in this bundle are top notch and very useful. At the price they're asking, it's really a great deal, IMHO.

That's interesting - I might email iZotope just to confirm that. I own several other of the individual plugins in the Music Production bundle too, but there are advantages to just owning the bundle (crossgrades etc).

So the 2nd week of the Plugin Alliance summer sale is in effect. Thoughts? I already have bx_Stereomaker :/
I own the Maag EQ4, and the EQ2 is on sale. I thought maybe I'd get a discount on crossgrading... so I logged into my account and it says I can buy EQ2 for $69 or crossgrade from EQ4 for $70... Thanks PA for the excellent customer loyalty reward

I stumbled upon this image in a post on Gearslutz where someone else noticed this last year during a sale.

I'd hold out for a PA Black Friday sale and maybe you can get it for $70.

I don't see any discussion about the whopping 80+ % off pettinhouse sale. Is it a must have for $99?
I already have acoustic guitar and ukulele so I'm not sure if there's enough content left that I'm actually interested in.
What's the verdict?
I believe today is the last day so not much time to consider.

Truly a no-brainer. You get a lot for the money, and they are great samples.
