Hi,

Bitwig Studio 1.3.10 RC-5 is available for download on http://www.bitwig.com/en/download.html. Here is the list of changes:

FIXED - Regression in 1.3.10 RC1: Replacing a device that has automation would not delete the automation for the device.
FIXED - Regression in 1.3.10 RC4: Nested sends for drum chain in mixer still send to effect track even when another track is solo-ed and the drum track should not be heard.

Important note for OSX users: if you experience trouble starting the app on OSX when switching between 1.3.9 and 1.3.10, restart your computer once, it should work fine after that.

Browser issue with collection folders & favorite star icons missing ? Seems a bit wacky anyone else having issues with this ? Lucky enough the favorites do not go missing just the star icon.

As far as the collection folders I have made, well.... they are gone ! except one. This has happen in all versions up to date. I am trying to make these folders to organize my plugins for easy access when I need go to tools. Really frustrating this is not working after trying over and over.

Any ideas on this ? Are these collections folders suppose to stay in Bitwig when you make them or is this a bug ?

I am on 10.9.5 osx mac tower a1289

I cannot reproduce this at all. I need more information on what you are trying to do. What do you mean the star icon goes missing? When you create a smart collection what exactly is the search term that is used to create it (when you add smart collection the search term is filled with your current search criteria). Maybe there is a bug with the kind of search criteria you are using to make the smart collection. If you could copy and paste that search term I can try to reproduce. But I've tried everything I can think of and it's all working fine for me.

i can confirm that my collections are also missing. Not sure about my search terms, i just gave them random names like collection = "Spline"; smart collection= "Inner Action".

I just right clicked into the right hand browser back in that day and hit create collection, saved it with that name above and after that i right clicked again, create smart collection..gave it a name too. Both gone now.

I just tried to reinstall 1.3.9 and created two new ones, then reinstalled this RC and they are still there. Not idea what happened here.

Hope this fixes the high pitched noise burst I just received with rc4...lucky I wasn't on headphones.
I was Running Largo & East-West PLAY in mpe mode playing it on a Linnstrument.
I remember just turning off auto suspend on both plugs, as after a while of not using them, I completely lost them plugins, if that has anything to do with it ?
Played pretty fine before, except for the losing sound. What was fixed by turning audio engine off/on.

did you report it? Nothing mentioned, so probably unlikely to be fixed.

Think it's due to Largo.
It seems to act up.
Will have to try in Ableton to be sure.

All my collections are there. Windows 8.1 x64.
Never had problems with them before either.

All looks good here, no issues so far.

Can confirm that it works fine now! (at least for what I've tested so far). That's great, thank you

I sent you another mail concerning the macro->chain send modulation. (although it isn't an official fix it seems to work better now but with a little restriction)

aah, before you release the 1.3.10 check your crash reports! I just was able to crash the program and sent in a report from the application. So there still seem to be something

So yeah I make up collection folders and about 90% delete when i reopen bitwig. This is really messed because I make about 15 folders with about 30 plus in each one for my reference and they disappear.

But before I post the pics of the other issue i found, can someone provide a link to a document or post about the the true purpose of Collection folder and smart collection folders. I just want to be sure I am fully understanding what they are ( which I am sure I do but just want to be sure). My impression is the collection folder are like custom folders you can put shortcuts to VSTS in. These folders should stay once you make them every time you open a new project etc.

Anyway here is one issue I am still seeing ..... Whenever I create a collection folder all the yellow stars disappear on my favorites. Funny thing is when I close Bitwig and reopen it the stars all show up again. hmmmm : 0

Would also like to know if when deleting FX on a chan or deleting a track dose anyone have a issue where the plug in windows still are open ? I have to x out of all the windows even though the track is delated that had all the open a fx on it.

I cannot reproduce that. Which OS are you on? A likely cause is that the engine has hung and stopped responding for some reason. Does the playhead still move when you press play? Also is this something happenning with all plugins or only certain plugins? We changed something specific to Roland plugins on Windows so wondering if it could be related to that if you are on Windows...
