Traktion 7 won't recognise my AKAI MPD 232

I have been trying for days to get Traktion to recognise my MPD 232 controller and have had no success at all. It works easily with Live, Traktor and Reason as well as my stand alone synths. Has anybody had this issue, it is driving me crazy and no one at Traktion can help ???
