This comment sounds like worthless trash to me.fluffy_little_something wrote:Sounds like any cheap Euro-trash dance music to me...
What I mean is that decades ago his sound was kind of unique, he had a signature sound and music (not that I liked it much, but still). That is no longer the case in my view, his modern music might as well be made by someone else...HunterKiller wrote:This comment sounds like worthless trash to me.fluffy_little_something wrote:Sounds like any cheap Euro-trash dance music to me...
I've noticed this too. It's odd.HunterKiller wrote:Ahh I agree 101% with you. It's terribly generic, the first album E1 might be one of the worst things I've ever heard actually.
Btw I've noticed the same with everyone, old and new artists, a general decline across everyone, in all fields.
He's not as active these days. However, the best place for news is likely to be http://www.elsew.com.Aryaroman wrote:Is Vangelis still making music?
You make funny joke hahaTaurus wrote:The first electronica album is very good, I hope the second one is good too.
Either humanity in general has changed (for better or worse) at some fundamental level and we require something very different to fulfill us, or music in general has become terribly unoriginal in every way in this day and age. As if the the music itself that we are currently making is not speaking to us about the things that really matter, individually, socially and worldwide. The music being made, commercially and elsewhere, is not truly speaking of the that which is now missing.Aryaroman wrote:I've noticed this too. It's odd.HunterKiller wrote:Ahh I agree 101% with you. First listen to his music A LOT in general.Aryaroman wrote:Does Omnisphere (probably Atmosphere) have Jarre-inspired presets? I tried the search, but didn't find any straight references to him) I know the Bob Moog-library has some, but since likes of Vangelis, Giorgio, Schulze (conitnuum!) and others have so many, I'm thinking there's probably a few Jarre ones there too. I haven't listened to his music very much in general, but I know he has a very soft and calming tones, so this occurred to me.
