TAL Noisemaker - such a nice free synth.

This will be my first OSC, with Noisemaker, no reason not to try any longer, but...

I currently have 20 instances running and get to 98% CPU on a very fast Laptop in Ableton 64bit, this may be the first time ever where I have to use the bounce feature of Ableton to get a track out of the door... I haven't had this with my other hogs like Diva and Serum, wonder if I do something wrong with the preset Programming... Any Tipps?

Is a slight chorus effect allowed to use? Since the synth itself comes with chorus... What are the current rules here? Thanks.

NO, you can't use any chorus outside the build-in in NoiseMaker.

Here are the rules :tu:

Made in FL Studio 12, using 10 instances of TAL Noisemaker, and no effects.
I'll probably build on it a bit more before the deadline, but who knows.

Hi,

this is mine. The 21 Noisemakers behaves now, after I deactivated 96khz rendering in Ableton (doh!). :dog:

In the end, I found this less hard to finish, even though I usually rely on several commercial plugin when mixing. I even found a new love for Ableton's standard reverb.

Best,

 ..I am sure you can make it. Don't feel stress. Just play around with TAL Noisemaker and it will come to you.
I have a 16 bar loop happening that I like but no ideas for where to take it from here.

Any chance to see OSC T-Force Alpha Plus - brilliant synth :)

I really can't make it sound the way I want. I guess I have to make the music IT wants. :o

I have about 80 files containing more or less the same kind of material.... most of them are .ARR files... meaning that they're Arrangement files from Cubase2.0, ATARI format, early 90's :D
My SoundCloud - My real Synths: Ensoniq SQ1, Korg Wavestation A/D

I'm guessing it's more than just CPU. It's most likely a latency issue. You could fiddle with your sound card settings (buffer etc). Maybe post a picture of your CPU core usage? Also check your effects and plugins, that might be a problem.

Solved... I had Ableton in 96khZ, and that's too much with all the reverbs and 21 Noisemakers. At 44.1, no problem at all.

I'd recommend adding 2 group reverbs (or fx sends, whatever they're called) (maybe a short, and medium) for general things like percussion. Things that stick out like big pads, or leads, you could add a unique reverb to their channel. So now we're talking about maybe 3-5 reverbs total.
