It doesn't work.

There is a script for the M-Audio Axiom Air Mini 32 keyboard that I downloaded from Bitwig's website, but it never worked for me, ever. I have tried an awful lot of tweaking, and it never worked. I have also tried using the virtual midi bridge (I'm on Linux, ALSA/JACK) and it didn't work.

I have another MIDI controller (not a keyboard) that works with the virtual midi bridge, but only for a while after a fresh reboot. If I have to restart JACK for any reason, Bitwig won't recognize it anymore no matter how hard I try.

I have tested this keyboard with many other programs and it always works. Both controllers always work. Why is Bitwig's MIDI implementation so hostile? Why does it even have to rely on arcane scripts? Why can't it just work like so many free, open source programs?
