I love it! You sound better after 3 months than I do after 40 years.Brisbane wrote:Hey guys! Here is my submission!
I've only started producing music about three months ago, so I have an extremely minimal concept of mixing and mastering. But, I love music and I try to make what I think sounds good to me, so that's good I guess! I hope you enjoy!

I made this track in Ableton Live 9 Suite with just TAL Noisemaker and a minimal range of outside-of-synth effects. Layering was my friend for this one:)
Good luck in the contest. I'm sure you'll do much better than I will. LOL

Please don't say that. For one, your stuff is dope and has tons of feeling. Also, there is no music that is better than any other kind of music, some people just prefer one over the other. I hate that we live in a world now that we feel like we can judge music. All music is a gift to us. Sorry to get sappy, but I was hesitant to even join this contest because of this fact. But, I would like to meet some really great producers and learn. Thank for your comment and I'm stoked to listen to some of your next tunes!!wagtunes wrote:I love it! If the mix is made with no additional fx,just volume sliders and the mastering is just maximazer and limiter - 100% pure composition and sound design do you such thing will have chance for top 5 if it's well made

Hey guys'n'gals, I keep doodling around for- what's apparently- hours with this curious little choir patch I just made the other day. I also made a sort of orchestral patch, which also requires a bit of fantasy and some heavy chords (best in upper registers, of course), while that one even makes a nice layered orchestral lead on top...woodwind with strings sort of feel.
Yes, both are brutally drenched in reverb, but I can completely get lost in those for some reason.
Too bad it's only 6 voices, but still... I felt like sharing them.

I agree with Brisbane that it sucks that everybody thinks they can judge music. Music comes fromwagtunes wrote:Well, you're a natural and you're just going to get better with time.Brisbane wrote:Please don't say that. For one, your stuff is dope and has tons of feeling. different circumstances, for different reasons. Some people follow rigid rules, some come up with music, completely randomly, some follow a vision. . Some feel.. Some do not.. Some want to make unmusical noise, others beautiful melodies. Some aspire to recapture a feeling.. Others push to define a new feeling..
But in the end of the day. We do what we do. When are judged. As we obviously are when we join a contest, we must be willing to take it. Some things we are not ok with.. Example, yesterday I got a brilliant idea
of copying Casey Neistats vlog.. Just shittier.. I made one vlog.. Uploaded it.. Could not sleep with my crappy, vlog.. Woke up.. Took it down..
I wont be doing it again.. Yet.. I can live with my music being judged pretty low here.. I know a lot of you guys are extremely skilled and work extremely hard on your submissions.. So when my one hour submission does not fare too well in the competition.. Well.. I do not really expect it to. But I can live with it.. If I could not, I would not participate..

Wasn't that a conversation on #87 already (again)?! Hey, we should stick to the "every other OSC" rule for this topic!!!
