Hello everybody!!! :D

For all who are interested I've created a Zebra 2 tutorial on how to make a dirty/gritty synthetic bass. (Or, at least, a tutorial on how to make one of many potential gritty basses.)

I'm just starting out, and if you like what you hear reply to this thread or message me! I'd love to start a conversation.

Cheers,

John

To be brutal - there's some good elements to this video:
1) it is useful for beginner synth fans,
2) you present well (when you're not trying to be funny), and you have some musical chops, and
3) Zebra is a great synth, and u-he a good company, so it's always good to see it supported.

But there's also some bad elements:
1) drop the silly faces and antics - you might think it looks funny, but it just makes you look immature,
2) the video is too long for describing reasonably basic techniques which many Zebra users already know,
3) DON'T spam KVR with three identical threads, it will just annoy people here.

This isn't a kiddies music forum where we can be entertained with big noises and silly faces. Many of us have been making music for years before you were born; there's a fair share of professional musicians, developers, mix engineers, music tutors etc here. Show respect for your audience, and you'll earn it back.

Overall, not a bad attempt for a beginner's music video.
But take on board the (maybe harsh) criticism, and you'll get an appreciative audience / number of subscribers in no time.
