It's a question of taste. It's great that a new version has its own identity, but perhaps, the look of the older versions must be proposed as alternative options, to avoid disappointment

I like both looks now. I would like to see some T6 like shading, but I'm happy with it as is.

T7 UI becomes slower and slower on OSX.
When I assign an LFO to a plugin parameter, moving a cursor is jerky and unusable.

Well same crash than the older version :
LFO plugin can't be use on my desktop...
Some track layers don't render correctly.
Moreover, lot of plugin like Waves or Izotope don't work properly.
hop all this things will be correcting soon.

Hi there, we're always looking to improve performance in areas that we can.dupont wrote:T7 UI becomes slower and slower on OSX.

Can you elaborate by what you mean please?
- I'm not sure what "moving a cursor" relates to. Is this the vertical transport cursor on screen, you pressing one of the cursor buttons to change the transport position or something else?
- When you're assigning the LFO, are you assigning it to a built-in plugin or external one (e.g. AU, VST etc.).
- Do you have that plugin open in the properties panel or in an external window?
Hopefully we can find out what is taking the CPU time and reduce it.
Thanks

-I assign an LFO to a VST in this case Tyrell N6
-External window as it is not a native plugin.
Hope it helps.

Thanks, I tried looking into this but couldn't replicate any serious slow downs.dupont wrote: -by cursor I mean moving a plugin slider or knob

Does it only happen with this plugin or other as well?
Does it go away when you close the plugin window?
I'm looking in to one potential area that could be problematic here but don't want to break compatibility with other plugins.

This issue depends on the plugin used :
I tried the following : Tall basline, Tyrell N6 and Fabfilter 2 (VST)
With the 2 first there are serious UI slow downs, not with with the third.
OSX El Capitan.

If not a full color editor, could we at least get the ability to set the alphas, intensities, and perhaps even colors found in the various pallets including the surface controller pallet. And PLEASE add a few shades of gray to all the pallets as well.

Not doing anymore beta stuff (worn out over reason testing! )
But just needed to say that "beta is as beta does..........BETA TESTING"
Or does this install OVER the existing version?

EEEEEEEEK!
Hoping that it would NOT install over my existing tracktion, I downloaded this beta.

a) it hates the nektar tracktion script and not only gashes the order of pan/volume, but WILL NOT ALLOW changes (like 7.1.1 does)
b) poof crashes increase (and I never heard back for other times I sent them in, so kinda upset at this point of time)
Not a good beta tester. Too many poof crashes in tracktion overall, gonna have to give it a rest.
Good luck!
