Aaah thanks for that. I just realised this myself, and was coming back to report it

It still could do with a "shift" RH button for super fine adjustments - since you can't actually enter values - but it's good enough.

I'm getting the feeling that this is how it is going to be with Arturia synths :)

Don't get me wrong - I'm thoroughly enjoying the Mini, and it's the only one I have a hope in hell of editing myself. I think the SEM will be OK too - but the rest are going to be a steep learning curve :)

Hi all. Is there a Master Tune for each instrument or at least Analog Lab? Some synths have master tuning but the Wurli, Vox, etc. do not. And, I can't find on Analog Lab.

Thanks!

Rechecked the demo and i was remembering correctly.

LMB = Coarse Adjustments

RMB = Fine Adjustments

(All knobs, including Osc Tune.)

Additionally: RMB + CTRL = Ultra-Fine Osc Tune Adjustments

Differences Old / New

Old
- Doubleclick only works with LMB

- Doubleclicking the Osc Tune knobs resets both Coarse and Fine to 0/0

- Doubleclicking the Volume knobs resets them to 0dB

New
- Doubleclick works with both LMB and RMB

- Doubleclick works on all (continuous) knobs, but the knobs will merely be centered

- Doubleclicking the Osc Tune knobs will only reset Coarse to 0, but not Fine

for those who haven't noticed we have released update for several instruments last week.

Prophet V 3.0.1
* GPU handling improved - No more black screens when OpenGL 2.0 is not compatible
* Prophet VS and Hybrid modulation matrix selector are now properly placed
* Prophet 5 Program Select displays the right preset number when using bank selector
* No more crash in 64 bit DAWs when changing preset

Hi Kevin,

I had hoped that any update to Prophet V 3.x would rethink the patch organisation to clearly separate Prophet V and Prophet VS sounds in dedicated categories. Since I'm not interested at all in the Prophet V emu, having to sift through all the patches in the demo to find VS ones is an unnecessary and frustrating chore that currently stops me from buying the instrument.

Also, I'd be very interested in learning whether Arturia has incremently updated the VS algorithm to address the deficiencies in accurate VS emulation meticulously analysed by Gordon Reid in his Sep 2006 SOS review.

The Arturia VS is, IMO, far too polite to accurately bring back the character of the Sequential instrument, which I owned for a couple of years and still miss – the sound, that is, not the blasted keybed that would apply AT if not placed on an absolutely flat surface, and the bugs that were never attended to… ;-)

Kind regards,

Joachim
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

You are right, we should have done this before. I will add this to our backlog.

Thank you for pointing this out. I will check this review and we will see what we can do.

Thanks for that ENV1! I found the LHB & RHB (mentioned earlier) but I didn't stumble across the RMB + CTRL.

oops! Just bought it for €299. Seems like a good deal for 17 instruments. The Synclavier is something I've wanted an emulation of for years. I obviously have no need for this collection at all

I just downloaded the updated V4. Cursory examples of the synths are very promising. The Wurli V doesn't quite pull off what it's trying to do.

Analog Lab 2 has almost 500 Synclavier presets! The Piano, B3, and Rhodes presets are...not good. It would be great if they didn't try too hard with effects. Farfisa sounds good. Ivory and Scarbee will not be supplanted as I will never buy those instruments. But Synclavier sounds amazing.

Am I the only one who thinks that the gui for JUP-8V looks ugly and uninspiring?

V2 looked much better and closer to the original, despite its tiny size.

The general greyish colour, the colour and design of the buttons, the colours and width around the names of the different parts (LFO, VCO Modulator, VCO-1 etc.). And of course the display. Somehow, the whole design seems a bit unfinished.

Otherwise I'm satisfied with my upgrade so far, apart from the blurry gui on the Solina, drawbars on the Vox where the numbers are not readable, and of course the lacking Prophet/VS patch "division".

Hey Kevin, are the remaining plugins still on track to be updated shortly? After that the whole V Collection will be updated, correct?

yes, we will release an update of all the collection later this week (hopefully today).

I see new updates in the Software Center ;)

Btw. it needs some "update all" feature, which download and install all updates?

Post

hopefully the update contains the folder select and DOESNT save (only vst.dlls) everything on C: :P ;)

A big plus one on that! Direct dialog with developers is a great way of ensuring returning customers.
