Short Circuit is not free... You'll discover this in November when your beta expires. You dumb, bad-word using goatlicker.
Just kidding about that last part.

Well I don't really take these things personally. It's all just computer talk afterall. When I leave the forum, I'm hanging out with my kids, reading or painting in the studio.
As for porting, OS X is unix (BSD really) under the hood. If he's going to write a linux version anyway, why not investigae making it available in the X11 unix window interface shell? That's not mac but we can run it concurrently with the OS X aqua interface.
...or he could just code in C++ and port in all directions at once. It seems to work for Jules.
Again, Jules is probably the best bet for mac users at this point. Tracktion's only real competition at this price point is Garageband. No contest. Garageband being way to cpu heavy with eyecandy to get anything done.
I've been to the energy xt site. It's a great looking program. I wish Jorgen much success. If he ported to the mac, I'm sure many of us would be interested in using both xt and Tracktion.
