Welcome back... banned guy? And congrats on being just as smug as the folks you're mocking for being so smug! You might want to know that such excellent subtlety is usually lost here because of so many people who don't speak English as a first language. Oh, and the huns have no sense of humour.

damn, im always the last to catch up on the gossip :x

seemed like quite a random rant outbreak, though Im surprised it wasnt those condoning the use of a crack that werent banned.

My copy of Muzys can be had for 50 bucks by the way, Ive got way too much software.

huh? :?

A moral dilemma? Hmmm... Morality, IMHO, is a two-way street. While it may be a bit of a stretch to say Jo has been "immoral" in his treatment of Muzys users, he certainly has treated us disrespectfully (i.e. ignoring us at best, lying to us at worst). As you can see by some of the posts here (A_B's rant in this thread and that "Muzys can kis my Muass" crap in another), he has engendered quite a bit of hostility and frustration. With this in mind, using a crack (which is one of the only ways to get Muzys today) seems to me to be a fair response to his own lack of activity.

I don't think using a crack deprives him of anything. After all, he closed the shop, which means he's the one depriving himself.

So... go ahead and use the crack.

As for Alien_Brain's unfortunate rant, this seems really untypical. He was always a positive and active member of this particular forum. I guess frustration just pushed him over the edge. Pity.

I'm sad to say yeah I thought AlienBrain did have a very valid point :?
I was just about to recommend the same on a number of occasions. i even thought about making my muzyskey available, so everyone can have their copy.

His rant was absolutely uncalled for and it really appaled me , but apparently he's back with a different name, so there. He'll learn from it.

I recently switched back from Logic for writing/jamming purposes and i'll be looking at second hand OS9 Macs when mine bites the dust (which wont happen anytime soon hopefully)

Marco :)

I, for one, will miss those big eyes glaring at me.

Yeah, I agree with you: it's a two-way street... and I have finally chosen the one which is leading to learning a different host...

I share other's people rage for the end of Muzys... the only thing that now Jo should do, if he doesn't want to take one the project again, it's releasing it as open source...I'm not a coder at all, but I bet there would be many happy to take on his works...

This option, too, has been discussed before in this thread. The general sentiment was that, while desirable, it's doubtful.

As for Jo's intentions, who the heck knows. And at this point, who really cares. Personally, I doubt if we'll ever hear from him again. He'd have to have pretty big balls to come back and say eveything's cool after such a long silence. Even if he did, what would be the point after having alienated his entire user base? Who's going to trust him now?

Your decision to go with another host is probably the best. Why spend your time learning how to use a cracked copy of an unsupported host? Why mold your creative process around a piece of deadware? If you don't know Muzys yet, don't bother.

you're totally right: that's what really made me move on another host

Where did i lie?

Where did i tell things which are not true,
or which are misleading?

And wheter you believe me or not: I am not ignoring you.

Jo
