MReverb rather shorter release

Hey there,
did anybody else notice that the MReverb "reverb time" is not quite accurate? Either I am doing something wrong, or maybe it's even just the sound of the reverb? If I set the reverb time to 10000 ms, the release is ratehr short. I could make it longer by setting low and high dampening to 0 maybe, but with this the overall reverb character changes as well. I then could increase the reverb time again, sure, but: with this technique I cannot even get a reverb sound 10 seconds long, while having it set to 30 seconds.
Is this maybe even a bug?

Hm I don't have knowledge really, but I'd assume that it is wired that way indeed. Reverb time is the maximum tail you get (with zero dampening) and dampening shortens it. I'm definitely +1 if you want to request a longer max reverb time.
Also, bright reverbs tend to sound pretty metallic in MReverb, so maybe it would help increasing the diffusion range also. If it's not backwards compatible, maybe a new plugin like MArtisticReverb or MEtheralSpaces might be a good idea. I mean, Valhalla also provides a handful of different reverb plugs for different use cases. MReverb could be the one for rooms and medium halls, while the new plugin could be specialized for huge halls and spaces.

Agreed! MReverb should be able to put a longer tail, when you set it as 30 s, you still get like 5 secs approx.Tagirijus wrote:Hey there,

That should be addressed IMHO

I agree that it doesn't fit the decay very well to the expected number. Well, one day I'd like to design a new reverb, when time allows... But MMConvolution contains a lot of large spaces and stuff.
