I've got all of my projects on an external hard drive.
I worked on some recent projects this morning. Restarted my computer and now each time I try and load them I get a yellow message box:
Couldn't load the project file ....
All the files are still in the recorded sub folder. Any ideas?
Can't load project

I just had the same issue. I was demoing some Waves plugins last night using my scratchpad edit file, discarded changes upon exit, and today the entire project was missing from the Active Projects browser in Tracktion 6. I tried to open the project from within Tracktion and receive an error message "couldn't open the project file". The timestamp in Windows Explorer shows the edit file had not been altered, although the main project file was updated at the time of last use (I don't know if that always happens after opening an edit or if it's even relevant, but I thought I'd mention it just in case).
All of my other projects are still visible in Tracktion and open fine; it's just this one project that has a problem. I did make some other changes to my machine last night in that I installed the Waves Central license manager program and did a round of security updates for Windows 7, so it might be difficult to source the root of the problem. If anyone has had a similar experience or has any idea how to recover my unloadable project, I'm all ears.
